Job Purpose: JobPurpose:

To effectively superviseand develop the functions within Operational Planning AssetLifeCycle Management Scheduling and Reliability & DataIntegrity & Standards Group (DISG) sections for allaircraft types engines and components. Carry out the preparationplanning technical reviews analysis verification regulatory andperformance reporting of key airworthiness tasks reliabilityinformation thereby ensuring that the Emirates fleet is maintainedto the required standards of quality and airworthiness as definedby the regulatory authority and Engineering Procedures Manual.

• Administer thedaytoday work program of the unit evaluate the quality of the workcontinually review systems and procedures to ensure efficientrunning of allocated activities consistent workload distributionand implementation of necessary improvements

Ensure that the section is represented in meetings andescalate any issues that will affect and delay the implementationof the modifications of any relevant programme.

• Supervise and organize team resources toensure staff is properly trained guided motivated and developed toperform its day to day duties in order to meet continued fleetgrowth requirements system enhancements improved working efficiencyand increased productivity and performance standards. Alsosupervise the improvements with process and procedures whenimplementing the use of new technologies across the Department.
• SPECIFIC

Operational Planning:

• Ensure the planning of compliance of all maintenancetasks within the scope of the respective three planning horizonsLine Line Support Base Operations and Base Heavy Maintenance.
• Supervise the day to day functionalmaintenance planning activities to ensure aircraft maintenance workpackages that are compiled and issued in a timely mannerconsidering cost effectiveness optimum utilisation of aircraftground time and no disruption to operation
• Provide technical audit of Work Package output andtechnical content for all planned maintenance activities (SpecialEngineering Work Card Engineering Order Engineering WorkInstruction Maintenance Control Request and Deferred Defect review)of the specific work packages ensuring work packages can beexecuted within the constraints of resources and ground time.
• Be a focal point for immediate complianceissues on a 24/7 basis in Line Maintenance Planning Base Operationsand Line Support. To supervise the output for Operational Planning& Production Control for full 24/7 support
• To be independently responsible for the scoping of afully defined ccheck (or base heavy owned event i.e. paint /landing gear) as well as for the appropriate OperationalMaintenance Planning team.

Reliability:

• Conductdetailed analysis of system defects for the assigned fleet typewhen alerts are exceeded Initiation of reliability issues based ontechnical delays data Pilot reports (PIREPS) and aircraft incidentsreview.
• Supervise the Component and Systemsreliability for the assigned fleet type reporting and review thereports to spot trends and conduct indepth analysis to review thefindings and assess the root causes. Initiate workflows tohighlight the same for ensuring corrective actions.
• Conduct Rogue unit analysis for the assigned fleet typein accordance with established procedures ensure timely updates ofthe workflow and dashboards for monitoring.
• Conduct Extended Twin Engine Operating Procedures (ETOPS)reliability analysis monitor and calculated inflight engine shutdown rates and highlight adverse trends.
• Conduct analysis to support the Reliability CommitteeMeetings with indepth statistical and trend analysis and alsoconduct root cause analysis to ensure that appropriate measures canbe taken by concerned stakeholders. Where necessary be able tocreate the necessary reports dashboards and presentations.
• Conduct analysis and review of reliabilitydata integrity challenges and provide results for further actions.Conduct analysis of maintenance tasks and modificationseffectiveness and all ad hoc requests by stakeholders to ensurethat a comprehensive review of reliability status and or dataintegrity challenges are addressed proactively.

Asset Life Cycle Management:

• Manage specific areas of the LifeCycle and engage in detailed investigation to ensure alldocumentation is reviewed and correct as per Departmental StandardsManual for onward processing towards EndOfLease activity. Thisincludes but is not limited to Airworthiness Directives ServiceBulletins Modifications Aircraft Damage/Repair histories AircraftComponent history Component Life Limited Part (LLP) Backtobirthdocumentation production Maintenance histories Certification andStatements review.
• Supervise in the effectivecontrol and response of all discrepancies coming from variousstakeholders on effective use of LLPs coming into EK.
• Support investigations related to Compliance relatedissues seen within the Department.
• Supervisethe improvements with process and procedures when implementing theuse of new technologies across the Department.
• Be part of the Project Team responsible for OutsourcedMaintenance activities where duties will include the followingInCheck package amendment management clarification of all workcardrelated queries and requests from the MRO perform Quality checks ofcompleted documentation general management and liaison with the MROfor managing the ongoing EK material requisition process inUltramain. To include scanning and uploading of completeddocumentation to Stream updating of component transactions inUltramain. To ensure package closure in Ultramain once aCertificate Of Release To Service has been issued by the MRO.Updation of nonroutine data into Ultramain and liaison with the MROin arranging retrieval and shipping of hard copy check package postcheck completion.

Qualifications & Experience:Qualifications :

• Degree or Honours(123 or equivalent)
• Bachelors DegreeEngineering in Aeronautical subjects Mechanical/ Avionics/Electronic/ Technical Engineering or holder of Aircraft MaintenanceEngineers Licence.

Experience :

• Engineering. Other : 5 Years
• 5years experience required in Maintenance Planning Aircraftscheduling Reliability Asset Management or as a ModificationsEngineer ideally on Emirates fleet types.
• Atleast 2 years in an MRO or Airline environment and managing peopleand performance

Knowledge/skills:

• Detailed understanding of aircraft/power plant systemsand components.
• Detailed knowledge ofaircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentation.
• Fully conversant with MSG 3 logic and MRBdeviation. Sound knowledge configuration control and management.
• Sound knowledge of computer applications(e.g. MS Office). Knowledge of ULTRAMIAN is an advantage.
• Detailed knowledge of Asset Managementfunction in relation to aircraft EndOfLease activity with Lessors.
• Knowledge of MROs an advantage.
