    POST: Foundation Stage Teaching Assistants at Safa Community School, Dubai

    Safa Community School is an all-through UK curriculum school, from FS1 to Year 13, with 2,400 on roll. We pride ourselves on our high standards across all aspects of school life. This includes high academic progress and a wide variety of extra-curricular success

    Safa Community School is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, patient and committed Foundation Stage Teaching Assistants, who have a successful proven track record supporting Foundation Stage students or would like to start their career as a teaching assistant with us at SCS.

    The successful applicant will already be resident in Dubai. Only applicants already based in Dubai will be considered.

    About the Role

    The successful applicants will demonstrate high levels of motivation and have the ability to engage, support, lead and inspire children to raise standards along with delivering effective outcomes for all children. You will preferably have experience 'delivering' the Early Years Foundation Stage or National Curriculum for England either in the UK or an international setting.

    General Professional Responsibilities

  • Working with teachers to establish an appropriate learning environment.
  • Determine the need for, prepare and maintain equipment and resources required to meet the learning activities.
  • Implement agreed teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to student responses and needs.
  • Encourage children to engage in, and participate in learning activities led by the class teacher.
  • Establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model and responding to the needs of each individual child.
  • To actively promote children's independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
  • Provide the teacher with clerical and admin support.


    Education

    Due to regulations, we can only employ individuals with a minimum of High School education in English and Mathematics or a degree.

    4. Submit a covering letter of no more than two A4 pages.
    5. Provide at least three referees' names, telephone numbers (with international dialling codes), and email addresses. One must be a current employer.
    6. The closing date for all applications is Friday, 31st May 2024 at 14h00 UAE time. However, applications will be processed as received, and initial interviews will be arranged for successful candidates as applications are received.
    7. Once initial interviews are concluded, arrangements will be made individually with those candidates who will proceed to the second round of interviews.Upon request, feedback will only be provided to candidates who progress to the interview stages.
