    Description

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Provide and maintain outstanding guest service in a unique, guest focused environment
    • Monitor maintenance of the physical Fairmont Gold product, preparing and maintaining food offerings and the Fairmont Gold honour bar
    • Organizing, cleaning and maintaining the Fairmont Gold pantry
    • Ordering food and beverage inventory, controlling inventory of food and beverage supplies
    • Work closely with the Kitchen and In Room Dining to ensure the highest level of food quality and selection is maintained
    • Arriving guestroom warming as per Fairmont Gold standards
    • Provide exceptional information to our guests about Vancouver area attractions, restaurants, theatres, special events and other available services
    • Maintain effective communication with all other departments to ensure the expectations of our Fairmont Gold guests are consistently exceeded

    Qualifications

    Your experience and skills include:

    • Service focused personality is essential with excellent guest service and team skills
    • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts, split shifts and holidays
    • Professional appearance and demeanor
    • Must have the ability to work in an unsupervised environment while maintaining standards
    • Previous food handling and guest service experience is required
    • Completion of Food Safe certification and Serving It Right certification required
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
    • Excellent knowledge of Vancouver restaurants, attractions, and services is a definite asset
    • Post-secondary education in Hotel Management an asset
    • Ability to speak another language fluently an asset
