    Description

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the development of annual compliance plan is covering all our client operations/activities to provide assurance to the Board Audit and Compliance Committee, the Board of Directors and executive management on the adequacy and effectiveness of the processes in place and compliance with the relevant laws/ regulations.
    • Implement the compliance plan put in place to ensure the achievement of the approved plan and the compliance risks faced by the bank is within its jurisdiction.
    • Identify and assess the compliance risk faced by the bank and in order to reduce the risk of regulatory sanctions that could result in financial losses / penal actions and the associated loss of reputation.
    • Advise on the development of new products and business practices, the proposed establishment of new business or customer relationships, or material changes in the nature of such relationships.
    • Monitor and report on a regular basis to Manager - Compliance on compliance matters, identified breaches and the necessary corrective action taken.
    • Ensure the continued compatibility of policies/procedures with the applicable laws/regulations by reviewing and approving new/amended policies/procedures from a compliance perspective.
    • Ensure the existence and adequacy of the Bank's Know Your Customer (KYC) policy and make necessary amendments to the same in light of changing laws/regulations/recommendations made by the respective local and international bodies with respect to AML.
    • Ensure appropriate and up-to-date policies/procedures regarding AML/CFT exist, which are approved by the Board Audit and Compliance Committee.
    • Assist the Compliance Manager in the development and delivery of Compliance trainings for our client's employees to ensure that management and staff are equipped to manage risks across the bank.
    • Implement a compliance culture within the client that emphasizes high standards of ethical behavior at all levels and in all jurisdictions

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field Required
    • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience
