    One of our esteemed clients from theBig4 Consulting is seekinga Director Consulting Transportation and Logisticsto be based in United ArabEmirates.

    JobOverview:

    As a member of Transport& Logistics practice you will have the opportunity to workclosely with the best and brightest consultants across theindustry.
    Regionally the Transport & Logistics sectoris playing a pivotal role in both shaping and enabling ongoingnational transformation programs through enhancing nationalinfrastructure intra and interconnectivity service and safetylevels and attraction of foreign direct investments. As a Directoryou would have experience in either of the following: portsmaritime land transport logistics and post rail and metro within aconsulting or strategyfirm.

    Responsibilities:

    • Leadcross functional internal and client teams to develop and deliveroperations strategies with a particular emphasis on theimplementation of cost reduction initiatives and continuousimprovement
    • Developing yourself personallytaking a keen interest in trends in different sectors and theimpact on our clients so you can help shape their thinking and oursuccess in the market
    • Write and presentwinning proposals to support our clients in the MiddleEast
    • Proactively lead the drafting ofproposals and marketing efforts and participate in proposal pitcheswith a focus on converting pipelines into secured mandates
    • You should be able to leverage your experiencein different industries to bring best practices to support ourclients in achieving set engagement goals
    • Working with colleagues in all Middle Eastern offices on clientwork and internal initiatives as well as with international teamswhere appropriate
    • You should have led teamsand mentored/ trained other members in your team/ business unit inorder to foster a high performance teamenvironment
    • Whilst working in the T&L teamyou will develop your understanding of the key themes in the marketand in the region
    • You will work collaborativelywith other experts to shape the future of
      our clients andto bring about positive change
    • Stay up to dateon the land transport industry in the region including thegovernment agenda players positioning and strategies latest trendsand developments
    • Develop and maintainintellectual capital and publish thought leadership on aviation toenhance our brand
    • Provide guidance andcoaching to team members as needed and ensure a professional andproductive team environment
    • Mentor formallyand informally other members in your team/ business unit in orderto foster a high performance team environment
    • Manage internal requirements for quality compliance policiesprocedures andsystems

    Requirements:

    • 12years of professional work experience out of which at least 46 arein
      consulting with a leading global consulting firm with aproven portfolio of projects in the rail and roads sectorpreferably in the Middle East advising tier1organization
    • Have worked on projects withinTransport and Logistics Industries (Maritime & Ports / Railwaysand Railroads / Aviation or Airports)
    • Strongwritten and oral communication skills with a confident presence andthe ability to effectively communicate complexideas
    • Experience in strategic planningoperational improvement data analytics operational transformationjunior team leadership midtier client man
    • Demonstrated progression and advancement into positions of greaterresponsibility
    • Demonstrated ability to impacttop and/ or bottom line financial results
    • Selfstarter eager to break new ground and create opportunities forothers
    • Teamoriented and demonstrated successin delivering results and leading teams significant managementresponsibility early in the career is a plus
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solvingskills
    • Key areas of functional expertiseinclude but are not limited to strategy development strategictransformations capability led transformations strategyimplementation corporate governance operating modelsetc
    • Bachelors degree from a toptier universitywith consistent outstanding academic record; advanced degree or MBAis preferred
