    Job Title:Project Manager IT Infrastructure

    JobPurpose:

    The core responsibilityof a Project Manager in IT Infrastructure is to manage andcoordinate essential technology projects whether they involvecloudbased or onpremises infrastructure. They oversee projectplanning execution and budget adherence collaborating withtechnical teams and stakeholders. Their role ensures that ITinfrastructure projects whether in the cloud or onpremises alignwith the companys strategic goals while minimizing disruptions todaily operations.

    KEYACCOUNTABILITIES

    The keyaccountabilities of the Project Manager Infrastructure roleinclude:

    1. Project Planning: Developcomprehensive project plans including scope objectives timelines

    and resource requirements considering bothonpremises and cloudbased infrastructure needs.

    2. Stakeholder Communication: Establish clearcommunication channels with project

    stakeholdersensuring alignment with their expectations and providing regularproject updates.

    3. Resource Allocation: Manageand allocate resources effectively including IT staff equipment

    and budget to meet project requirements on bothcloud and onpremises platforms.

    4. RiskAssessment: Identify potential risks associated with ITinfrastructure projects and develop

    mitigationstrategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.

    5. Vendor Management: Collaborate with externalvendors and service providers to procure

    necessary hardware software and services whilealso managing vendor contracts and

    performance.

    6. Quality Assurance: Implement quality controlmeasures to ensure that infrastructure solutions

    meet or exceed industry standards andorganizational requirements.

    7. TimelineManagement: Monitor project timelines rigorously adjusting plans asneeded to keep

    projects on track and withinpredefined schedules for both cloud and onpremises infrastructure

    components.

    8. ChangeManagement: Develop and execute change management strategies tofacilitate the

    smooth transition from legacysystems to new infrastructure solutions whether onpremises or in

    the cloud.

    9. Documentation:Maintain accurate project documentation including technicalspecifications

    process documentation and projectreports to support auditing and future reference.

    10. Budget Oversight: Manage project budgetstracking expenses and ensuring that spending remains withinapproved limits with a focus on cost optimization for bothonpremises and cloud

    resources.

    11. Security and Compliance: Ensure that ITinfrastructure solutions whether onpremises or in the

    cloud adhere to security best practices andcompliance standards relevant to the organizations

    industry.

    12. TeamLeadership: Provide leadership to project teams fosteringcollaboration and motivation

    among team membersworking on IT infrastructure projects.

    13.Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes identifying areasfor improvement in

    processes technologies ormethodologies and implement enhancements for future projects.

    14. Monitoring and Maintenance: Develop plansfor ongoing monitoring maintenance and support

    of IT infrastructure whether its hosted in thecloud or onpremises to ensure longterm

    sustainability.

    15. EmergencyResponse: Establish protocols for responding to IT infrastructureemergencies such

    as system outages securitybreaches or data loss to minimize downtime and data exposure.

    QUALIFICATIONS ANDEXPERIENCE

    • Bachelorsdegree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science informationtechnology) required;
    • masters degree orrelevant certifications (e.g. ITIL)preferred.
    • PMP (Project ManagementProfessional) certification is mandatory.
    • 57years of proven experience in project management with a strongfocus on IT infrastructure
    • projects.
    • Deep technicalexpertise in IT infrastructure components including networkingservers cloud
    • technologies andcybersecurity.
    • Proficiency in risk assessmentresource allocation and supplier/vendor management including
    • contract negotiation and vendor performanceevaluation.
    • Experience in managing Request forInformation (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
    • Strong communication leadership andproblemsolving skills.
    • Experience in changemanagement and guiding teams through technologytransitions.
    • Knowledge of industry compliancestandards and IT security best practices.
    • Excellent documentation skills for technicalspecifications project plans and reports.
    • Adaptability and a commitment to stayingupdated on industry trends and emergingtechnologies
