    Description

    KeyAccountabilities

    Fire& Rescue

    • Monitor site follow-up on action andrecommendations for site based emergency exercise drills and sharelearning across Company sites. Compile and maintain statistics onaction and recommendation closure and follow up to assess qualityof closure as part of regular sitevisits.
    • Conducts (site) audits and inspectionon the firefighting system and capabilities and with necessaryrecommendations such as, suitability of system design based onoperational suitability and application density requirements.Conduct a full technical assessment of maintenance and inspectionsregimes to ensure reliability andeffectiveness.
    • Monitor, liaise and ensure allpersonnel are competently trained, disciplined and capable offirefighting and rescuing of victims, reducing asset and productionloss as a result of fire. Review and approve Fire Risk Assessmentsand conducts specialist fire audits for fire and emergencypreparedness within the company.
    • Participate infirefighting capability assessments and conduct periodic GAPanalysis on worst case scenario versus actual firefightingcapability. Define shortfalls and provide recommendations to removethe shortfall and ensure each facility has appropriate equipment,training and manpower to reduce risk in accordance with ALARPprinciples.
    • Implement and maintain Corporatesingle core competency training matrix as an internally recognizedADNOC Group standard. Introduce, facilitate and ensure delivery ofaccredited training through internationally recognizedaccreditation organizations and leads implementation of anexternally - recognised ADNOC group standard. This includesassessing employees training and development needs, overseeing thepreparation of structured training and development programs,monitoring progress and counsellingtrainees.
    • Contribute and support in ensuringthat company is best prepared and ready to respond to emergencysituations honoring ADNOC and Group of Companies'commitments and obligations.
    • Provide advisorysupport to the Crisis Management Team on handling and management ofemergency and crisis situations. Provide expert advice on incidentdynamics to help facilitate safe and efficient resolution toincident.
    • Improve and raise the standards ofthe Fire & Emergency Preparedness system throughappropriate training, competency mapping, and participation inJoint Industry Forums. Maintain an international fire industrynetwork, identifies suitable future forums/seminars andcommunicates throughout the Group Companies and promote attendanceas a continued precursor to maintaining standards and knowledgetransfer within the industry.
    • Advise Managementon regulatory affairs with respect to modifications in Fire& Safety Law, local and international standards and bestpractices.

    Supervision

    • Plan, supervise and coordinate allactivities in the assigned area to meet functionalobjectives.
    • Train and develop the assignedstaff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on thejob and deliver the respective functional objectives.

    Budgets

    • Provide input for preparation of thefunctional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approvedBudget and work plans to deliverobjectives.
    • Investigate and highlight anysignificant variances to support effective performance and costcontrol.

    • Implement approved Group / Divisionalpolicies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order tosupport execution of the work programs in line with Company andInternational standards.

    PerformanceManagement

    • Contribute to the achievement of theapproved Performance Objectives for the function in line with theCompany Performance framework.

    Innovation andContinuous Improvement

    • Design and implement new tools andtechniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operationalprocesses.
    • Identify improvements in internalprocesses against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiencyin line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligentsolutions for issues confronting the function.

    MinimumRequirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in FireScience or Engineering or equivalent professionalqualification.
    • At least 10 years in industrialfirefighting, preferably in an oil and gasindusty
    • Planning and organising, scheduling andco-ordinating, checking, examining andrecording.
    • Professional Certification inAdvanced Firefighting, Hazmat, NEBOSH
    • Trainingon First Aid, Heavy Rescue, Confined Space and RescueOperations
