    Description

    Our client, one of the world's leading sports resorts, is looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager, to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

    In this role, the job holder will set strategies and manage the revenue management, sales and promotional activities of the company focusing on Membership Growth and the Key Market Segments which includes, Leisure Individuals and Groups, Travel Agents, DMC's & Hotels, Corporate Groups, Schools & Universities, Embassies, Institutions and Federations and Government Institutions and Organizations.


    Responsibilities

    • Works with the management team to improve product and quality within the company
    • To develop the company's sales & marketing business plans and budget and thereafter, evaluate business trends to modify strategies and then interprets, analyses and manages budget to meet business objectives
    • Provide constructive coaching and counseling to fellow employees
    • To work with and motivate the sales team to develop the revenue management process of the company
    • To manage all marketing communication matters and activities whilst working with appointed Public Relations and Marketing Agency. Whilst ensuring an excellent rapport is established with all relevant media - locally, regionally and internationally
    • To maximize profitability for the company, with a total revenue focus for major revenue centers which includes, Food & Beverage, Equestrian, Shooting, Water Sport, Karting, Recreational and Retail consistent with company objectives
    • To identify prospective business partners for the purpose of promotions and public relations activities
    • To promote and strengthen the positioning of the company for the key business and market segments
    • Preparation and administration of overall department budget and preparation of monthly and long term strategic department plan
    • Monitoring the sales performance through the compilation and preparation of all sales reports including forecasts, budgets, weekly and monthly forecasts to ensure company objectives are met
    • Development and maintenance of key accounts through personal sales calls, correspondence with existing and potential client base, and attendance at both travel and related industry meetings and trade shows
    • Planning, developing and implementing marketing programs designed to maximize revenues consistent with company objectives


    Requirements

    • Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field or equivalent commercial experience
    • Minimum years' UAE experience in hospitality and / or sports facilities environment
    • Experience in an integrated Private or Semi-Private Resort and Country Club or Sports Club with both Membership and Public access in a senior leadership role
    • Excellent leadership skills with experience of driving performance in teams
    • Ability to provide honest feedback and constructive criticism to the team
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented hands-on commitment to getting the job done, multi-tasking and time management
    • Strong understanding of database structures, reporting tools and computer systems
    • Strong leadership skills, organizational and planning abilities including the ability to deal with/work under pressure and tight deadlines
    • Proficient with MS Office applications, Outlook or any related system and applications
    • Strong analytical/problem solving, quantitative abilities and ability to work under pressure and handle stress
    • Applicants residing within the UAE will be given preference.​
