    RoleSummary

    • Alongside your team counterparts(product, design, data), understand your customer/businessneeds/desires/problems to drive desired outcomes and create astrategy to drive desired outcomes
    • Lead,inspire and empower a talented group of engineers to self-organizeand discover,innovate, implement, deploy and own end-to-end complexsoftware solutions
    • Develop and grow engineeringtalent through effective mentoring, coaching, and retentionstrategies in a hyper-growing, highly competitive economicenvironment
    • Guide your team in creation ofsoftware as a solution to an end-to-end problem in your businessdomain and deliver value in small batches, taking into accountnon-functional requirements such as availability, scalability,latency and efficiency of talabat's services in line withour internal engineering standards.
    • Guide yourteam's discovery, planning and execution to successfullydeliver value to our customers in small batches

    • Able to balance between continuousproduct discovery and delivery
    • Experiencebuilding & leading cross-functional, empowered andself-organized teams of multidisciplinaryengineers
    • Ability to guide & elevatetalent via mentoring and coaching
    • StrongStakeholder and Dependency management via proactivecommunication
    • Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, capable of creating compelling writtennarratives to get the key stakeholdersengaged
    • Humble, curious, and open-minded with agrowth mindset, thriving on continuousfeedback
    • Good understanding of lean/agilevalues & principles and associatedpractices
    • 6+ years of experience in softwareengineering, preferably within Extreme Programming environment(TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, and ContinuousRefactoring)
    • 2+ years of hands-on technicalleadership and people managementexperience
    • Experience in Distributed SystemsArchitecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTfulServices)
    • Experience building, maintaining& improving with Trunk Based Development and ContinuousDelivery
    • Solid experience in designing,implementing, monitoring and scaling of web apps andAPIs
    • Solid understanding of the full mobiledevelopment life cycle
    • Strong familiarity withthe general mobile landscape, architectures, trends/emergingtech
    • Proficient in testing with focus onautomated end to end quality
    • Experience withcloud platforms, preferably AWS
    • Strongunderstanding of quality, performance, monitoring, alerting andsecurity standards
