    Description
    • Dive deep with your payments expertise to scout and onboard top-tier payment partners suited to our global customers.
    • Align strategically with industry leaders to ensure we remain at the forefront of fintech trends and elevate our payment onboarding process to new heights.
    • Craft and rollout payment systems that are efficient and easy to adopt and use for our customers.
    • Perform market research and develop a locally focused payment master plan that syncs with our global ambitions.
    • Lead and inspire your squad, blending innovation, collaboration, and customer focus while closely monitoring potential risks and regulatory concerns.
    • Set the bar high with key metrics that ensure we continuously achieve our goals and use data insights to boost our payment solutions.

    Requirements

    • 15+ years of experience with leadership roles in payment operations, ideally within financial services, fintech, or e-commerce, with a particular emphasis on different markets i.e Africa, LATAM
    • University degree in finance, business, commerce, computer science, or a related field
    • Experience in dealing with payment providers, financial services, digital wallets, digital loyalty programmes, and retail banking institutions
    • Strong strategic understanding of growing businesses and ability to navigate complex challenges in the payments domain successfully
    • Ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams and foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration
    • A mobile-first mindset and an instinct to explore and implement cutting-edge payment solutions that cater to the preferences of African customers
    • Ability to deliver results in high-pressure situations
    • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
