    Description

    Key Role SpecificAccountabilities

    • Follow the SOP pertaining to cashhandling, receiving payment by cash, cheque, credit cards,vouchers, or automatic debits.
    • Compute andrecord transactions ensuring 100% accuracy for all registertransactions.
    • Count and record the float beforetrading begins and upon close of trading ensuring accurate cashhandling and safe custody of collectedcash.
    • Greet and welcome customers on arrival atthe store and ensure shopping tools and catalogues are availablefor the customers providing bags / trollies as appropriate tofacilitate the shopping journey.
    • Ensure thatcompany's customers are well attended to by responding totheir needs & working efficiently to minimizequeues.
    • Ensure that the customers who come tothe Returns & Exchange desk perceive the policy as generousand the procedure quick and easy.
    • Handleroutine customer complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring thatcustomers are dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner toguarantee maximum customer satisfaction.
    • Greetand welcome customers on arrival at Smaland ensuring the Smalandadmission policy is explained in a friendly and professionalmanner.
    • Ensure the Childs safety is their mainpriority while they are in Smaland providing a safe environment forchildren within the area.
    • Make announcementsand pages the customers (parents) if there is any issue with thechildren in the playroom area or general announcements to customerswhen needed.
    • Ensure all system procedures areadhered to as per policy / procedure.
    • Book IKEAservices (Home Delivery, Assembly, Measurement) and follow up onout-of-stock articles in self-serve
    • Handlereturns and exchange issues based on own judgment, experience andauthority given by the management according to which exceptions canbe made to retain a customer.
    • Use theinformation from Returns & Exchange desk to detect and actupon or report to the management about a product fault, safetyproblem or transportation problem
    • Brief theDuty Manager on complaints that require managementassistance.
    • Prepare daily / weekly / monthlyreports of transactions at the returns & Exchange desk tobe used for reconciling with the cash till as well as the accountsfor the period of the report as well as analyzing trends on salesand profitability and performance of the store.

    Minimum Experience AndKnowledge

    2 years experience ina similarrole
