    Description

    PositionOverview: The Procurement Executive in a FastMovingConsumer Goods (FMCG) company plays a critical role in sourcingpurchasing and managing the supply of goods and services necessaryfor the companys operations. This position involves working closelywith suppliers negotiating contracts monitoring inventory levelsand ensuring timely delivery of materials while maintaining costefficiency and quality standards. The role requires stronganalytical skills negotiation abilities and a deep understanding ofprocurement processes and supply chain managementprinciples.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    1. SupplierManagement:
      • Identify andevaluate potential suppliers conducting market research andsupplier assessments to ensure reliability quality andcosteffectiveness.
      • Establish andmaintain relationships with key suppliers negotiating contractsterms and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms andconditions.
      • Monitor supplierperformance conduct regular supplier evaluations and address anyissues or concerns related to product quality delivery orservice.
    2. PurchasePlanning andExecution:
      • Collaborate withinternal stakeholders including production inventory and salesteams to develop procurement plans and forecasts based on businessneeds and demandprojections.
      • Generate purchaseorders review purchase requisitions and coordinate procurementactivities to ensure timely acquisition of materials andsupplies.
      • Monitor inventory levelsreorder points and lead times to optimize stock levels and minimizestockouts or excessinventory.
    3. CostManagement andNegotiation:
      • Analyze pricingtrends market conditions and supplier offerings to identifyopportunities for cost savings and efficiencyimprovements.
      • Negotiate pricingterms and payment conditions with suppliers to achieve costreductions and maximize value for thecompany.
      • Implement cost controlmeasures and monitor procurement budgets to ensure adherence tofinancial targets andobjectives.
    4. QualityAssurance andCompliance:
      • Ensurecompliance with regulatory requirements industry standards andcompany policies related to procurement including ethical sourcingpractices and environmentalsustainability.
      • Conduct qualityinspections and audits of incoming materials and products to verifyconformance to specifications and qualitystandards.
      • Address quality issues ornoncompliance issues with suppliers and implement correctiveactions as needed to maintain product integrity and customersatisfaction.
    5. SupplierDevelopment andInnovation:
      • Identifyopportunities for supplier development and collaboration workingwith suppliers to improve processes product quality andinnovation.
      • Stay informed aboutindustry trends emerging technologies and best practices inprocurement and supply chain management and incorporate relevantadvancements into procurementstrategies.

    QualificationsandSkills:

    • Bachelorsdegree in business administration supply chain managementprocurement or a related field; additional certifications such asCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) areadvantageous.
    • Proven experience inprocurement or supply chain management preferably in the FMCGindustry or a related sector.
    • Strongnegotiation skills and the ability to build and maintainrelationships with suppliers and internalstakeholders.
    • Excellent analyticaland problemsolving abilities with a datadriven approach todecisionmaking and processimprovement.
    • Proficiency inprocurement software systems ERP systems and Microsoft Officesuite.
    • Knowledge of procurement bestpractices supply chain principles and industryregulations.
    • Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborateeffectively in a crossfunctional teamenvironment.


    -Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chainmanagement, procurement, or a related field; additionalcertifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement& Supply) are advantageous. -Proven experience in procurementor supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG industry or arelated sector. -Strong negotiation skills and the ability to buildand maintain relationships with suppliers and internalstakeholders. -Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities,with a data-driven approach to decision-making and processimprovement.
