    JobDescription

    Keyresponsibilities of the successful Finance Director:

    • Develop and implement financialstrategies aligned with the institution's objectives andlong-term vision.
    • Lead the annual budgetingprocess and provide regular financial forecasts to supportdecision-making and resourceallocation.
    • Prepare accurate and timelyfinancial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annualfinancial statements, for presentation to the board of directorsand senior management.
    • Identify and mitigatefinancial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsand internal policies.
    • Manage cash floweffectively to support operational needs and strategic initiatives,optimising liquidity and maximising returns oninvestments.
    • Oversee day-to-day financialoperations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable,payroll, and procurement, ensuring efficiency andaccuracy.
    • Conduct comprehensive financialanalysis to support strategic decision-making, identify areas forimprovement, and drive performanceoptimisation.
    • Build strong relationships withinternal and external stakeholders, including board members,auditors, regulatory authorities, and financialinstitutions.
    • Provide leadership and guidanceto the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability,professionalism, and continuous improvement.

    The SuccessfulApplicant

    The successfulFinance Director will have:

    • A Finance professional withexperience at a senior level ideally with ACA, ACCA, CIMA orequivalent financial qualification.
    • Culturalsensitivity and a commitment to equality, diversity andinclusion.
    • Experience in the education sectoror nonprofit organisations isadvantageous.
    • Demonstrated ability to developand execute financial strategies that support organisational goalsand drive growth.
    • Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complexfinancial data and provide actionableinsights.
    • Excellent leadership and managementskills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieveexcellence.
    • Exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complexfinancial concepts effectively to diversestakeholders.
    • High ethical standards andintegrity, with a commitment to transparency, accountability, andcompliance.
    • Proficiency in financial managementsoftware and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excelskills.
