    Description

    SUMMARY:

    The primary purpose of this positionis to assist customers with their healthcare needs by fillingprescriptions, providing clinical services and excellent customerservice while supervising Pharmacy associates. Frequent independentjudgments are essential. All duties described in this document areto be performed in keeping with the core values and serviceattributes consistent with the Rite Aid brand and strategy. Theassociate is responsible for the functions below, in addition toother duties as assigned:

    • Ensure the accuracy andappropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing DrugUtilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to stateand federal Board of Pharmacyregulations.
    • Build profitablebusiness and script growth through recommended clinical programsincluding appropriate immunization and when available MTM(Medication Therapy Management), DCS (Diabetes Care Specialist),and all ongoing other programs asidentified.
    • Provide excellentcustomer service by assisting customers with medical-related issuesand providing healthcarecounseling.
    • Supervise the workcompleted by support staff while onduty.
    • Assist with training,coaching, and managing the pharmacy associates and assumemanagement responsibility over the entire pharmacy asneeded.
    • Maintain appropriatesecurity of the Pharmacydepartment.
    • Comply with HIPAA andall other applicable federal and state laws andregulations.
    • Handle and resolvecustomer issues, complaints and questions to build customer trustand loyalty.
    • Interact withphysicians and utilize reference material to gain information oncustomers and prescriptions and to resolve any issues thatarise.
    • Assist with maintaining thePharmacy department by keeping it clean and inorder.
    • Prioritize harmacy Departmenttasks and follow through to ensure all tasks are completed in atimely manner. Including, but not limited to, cycle counts,inventory management and will-calls tocustomers.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelors degree (BS/BA) in Pharmacyor Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.)

    ActivePharmacist license in good standing in the state for which you areapplying

    Active ImmunizationCertification (through an accredited organization : i.e. APhA)

    Active CPR and AED BLS Certificate(from an in-person live training)

    National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number

    Fully vaccinated

    Ability to work a flexible scheduleto meet the needs of the business. Hours sometimes include eveningsand weekends
