    Description

    What will I bedoing?

    As a Chief Steward, youare responsible for training, supporting and motivating the Back ofHouse Team to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. AChief Steward will also be required to manage cleaning schedules,observe COSHH and Hilton Hotel Health and Safety Manual guidelines,and ensure that machinery is operated properly, efficiently, and ismoved, stored, and available when needed. Specifically, you will beresponsible for performing the following tasks to the higheststandards:

    • Run the Back ofHouse Department efficiently and to consistent highstandards
    • Manage, train and develop the Back ofHouse team
    • Ensure Back of House areas aremaintained to the highest cleanliness standards and cleaningschedules are followed and completed
    • Ensure theflow and supply of operating equipment's meets bar,banqueting and restaurant requirements
    • Overseethe cleanliness of all food and beverage outlets and the TeamRestaurant
    • Ensure the Stewarding Team has fullknowledge and understanding of compliance regulations as theyeffect sanitation and hygiene, as set by internal and local legalrequirements
    • Identify and develop new revenueopportunities
    • Work with the banquetingfunctions to ensure the accurate and timely preparation ofindividual plates/orders
    • Observe guidelineswhen handling hazardous substances and comply with all aspects ofHealth and Safety requirements
    • Report faults,misused or damaged equipment issues to the Back of House Manager,Head Chef, and/or Maintenance Manager
    • Ensuremachinery is operated properly, efficiently, safely and inaccordance with the Hotel Health and SafetyManual
    • Assist in the location, movement andstorage of operational equipment
    • Assist in thestock take of equipment and other items asrequired
    • Work with all departments to ensureitems that are required for service are available whenneeded
    • Ensure team members adhere to all Healthand Safety and Hygiene Regulations
    • Carry outany other reasonable task set by the Hotel'sManagement

    It would be advantageous in thisposition for you to demonstrate the following capabilities anddistinctions:

    • A highschool certificate or equivalent and any other relatedqualifications
    • Previous experience insupervisory role
    • Experience in hotel / leisureindustry
