    Description

    Whatyou'll do in therole:

    • The MLE role overlaps with manydisciplines, such as Ops, Modeling, and Data Engineering. In thisrole, you'll be expected to perform many ML engineeringactivities, including one or more of thefollowing:
    • Design, build, and/or deliver MLmodels and components that solve real-world business problems,while working in collaboration with the Product and Data Scienceteams.
    • Inform your ML infrastructure decisionsusing your understanding of ML modeling techniques and issues,including choice of model, data, and feature selection, modeltraining, hyperparameter tuning, dimensionality, bias/variance, andvalidation).
    • Solve complex problems by writingand testing application code, developing and validating ML models,and automating tests anddeployment.
    • Collaborate as part of across-functional Agile team to create and enhance software thatenables state-of-the-art big data and MLapplications.
    • Retrain, maintain, and monitormodels in production.
    • Leverage or buildcloud-based architectures, technologies, and/or platforms todeliver optimized ML models at scale.
    • Constructoptimized data pipelines to feed MLmodels.
    • Leverage continuous integration andcontinuous deployment best practices, including test automation andmonitoring, to ensure successful deployment of ML models andapplication code.
    • Ensure all code iswell-managed to reduce vulnerabilities, models are well-governedfrom a risk perspective, and the ML follows best practices inResponsible and Explainable AI.
    • Use programminglanguages like Python, Scala, or Java.

    BasicQualifications:

    • Bachelor'sdegree
    • At least 4 years of experienceprogramming with Python, Scala, or Java (Internship experience doesnot apply)
    • At least 3 years of experiencedesigning and building data-intensive solutions using distributedcomputing
    • At least 2 years of on-the-jobexperience with an industry recognized ML frameworks (scikit-learn,PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow)
    • At least 1year of experience productionizing, monitoring, and maintainingmodels

    PreferredQualifications:

    • 1+ years of experience with Spark andKubeflow or other pipeline orchestrationtechnologies
    • 1+ years of experience building,scaling, and optimizing ML systems
    • 1+ years ofexperience with data gathering and preparation for MLmodels
    • 2+ years of experience developingperformant, resilient, and maintainablecode
    • Experience developing and deploying MLsolutions in a public cloud such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudPlatform
    • Master's or doctoral degree incomputer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a similarfield
    • 3+ years of experience with distributedfile systems or multi-node databaseparadigms
    • Contributed to open source MLsoftware
    • Authored/co-authored a paper on a MLtechnique, model, or proof of concept
    • 3+ yearsof experience building production-ready data pipelines that feed MLmodels
    • Experience designing, implementing, andscaling complex data pipelines for ML models and evaluating theirperformance
