Business DeveloperIntermodal

Managingthe intermodal activities within the DRO scope main mission will beto drive the Carrier Haulage development on 3 key pillars(Procurement Operations & Commercial). The RegionalIntermodal & Business Developer is a key contributor to theinland strategy in the region.

MISSIONS

Procurement

Bein close contact with DRO and HO Intermodal Procurementteams

Manage quarterly selling ratesreviews with local Intermodal teams and DRO/HO Intermodal &Procurement teams

Be part of posttender negotiations with DRO Procurement team and promotesavings

Manage the pricing strategy inaccordance with HO expectations

Accessperformance from service providers and report inconsistencies ifany

In coordination with DROProcurement attribute allocation percentage per transporter withinthe severalcorridors

Operations

Ensuringoperational efficiency on all corridors (delays and port storagemitigation)

Disseminating operationalbest practices

Reviewing and/orimplementation of SOPs in accordance with the Group s standardprocedures

Ensure that all extra costsare fully recovered either from customer or the supplier dependingon thecase

Commercial

Ensurethat the Regional Intermodal Budget is met (Import andExport)

Dedicate specific attention tothe strategic countries

Commercialanimation/coordination within the region (weekly meeting Webinarseminar )

Produce statistics andcommercial analysis

Intermodal Marginmonitoring

Market Intelligenceactivities (benchmarking networkingetc.)

Promote Carrier Haulageconversion and development of FOBaccounts

Promote Intermodal commercialdevelopments in the region (new products services and opportunitiesetc.)

This position may involveoccasional travel as needed by thecompany

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATIONALBACKGROUND

HigherEducation/Postgraduate degree would bepreferred

Proven business managementexperience commercial mindset Previous experience in Intermodaland/or Logistics would bepreferred

Strong communicationskills

Good management andinterpersonal skills

Strong analyticalskills and must be numeric as strategic planning and runningbudgets are a daily element of thisposition

Must be proficient in the useof Microsoft Office suite especially Excel andPowerPoint
