    Description

    The Senior Iron Ore Trader will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the iron ore trading vertical within the company. This is a senior leadership position that requires a proven track record in iron ore trading, as well as strong leadership and business development skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving trading performance, building and managing relationships with clients and counterparties, and developing strategic initiatives to expand the firm's presence in the iron ore market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Lead and develop the iron ore trading vertical, setting strategic direction and driving trading performance.
    2. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and counterparties in the iron ore market.
    3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's presence and market share in the iron ore sector.
    4. Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize profitability and manage risk.
    5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of trading activities with overall business objectives.
    6. Stay informed about market trends, regulatory developments, and industry news to inform trading decisions.
    7. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior traders and support staff within the iron ore trading team.
    8. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote the firm's capabilities and expertise.
