    When you join Amazon as an AreaManager youll gain experience leading a large and diverse team tomake sure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. In thishandson role youll learn about the complexity of operations at aglobal business and what it takes to make everything runseamlessly. While you implement your teams approach to driveproductivity youll also work closely with your colleagues toaddress challenges which means no two days will be the same.

    Key job responsibilities
    Promote aculture of safety and wellbeing
    Analyse and implementcorrective actions to make sure quality and productivity are atconsistently high levels and business objectives are met across allshifts
    Support and lead a team and handle administrativework alongside building and supporting a strong team culture
    Analyse performance and suggest process improvements tooptimise work and improve customer service
    Collaboratewith other managers to standardise shift processes .

    A day in the life
    Youll work shiftsand be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus willbe to maintain safety standards within your team and across yoursite. Youll also monitor and maintain process efficiency. Your dayswill always include prioritising routine team management and dailyoperational tasks alongside other tasks like individual escalationsprocess improvement work and widescale operational contingencyplanning.

    Being a key part of the operationsteam involves working with colleagues in other teams and externalpartners to make sure we stay on track to meet our customer demandsand targets. This will involve analysing data and performancemetrics with leaders in your business area as well as discussingthe operational pros and cons of technical improvements withengineers.
