    About ThePosition

    The Site HR Directoris a hands-on role responsible for serving as a key member of theSite Leadership team. In this role, they are a trusted advisor andexpert in HR matters. They also lead and support large scaleinitiatives, including talent development, performance reviews,training, diverse recruiting strategies, direct labor salarycompensation progression, employee relations, and benefitsadministration. The HR Director supervises others and manages theday-to-day functions of the Human ResourcesDepartment.

    To be successful inthis role, your experience and competenciesare:

    • 10+years of career experience in HumanResources.
    • BS Degree in applicablefield.
    • Strong ability to influence others andpartner with site General Manager and otherLeaders.
    • Ability to clearly articulate ideasand get buy in.
    • Experience leading a large(500+) organization in a heavily matrixorganization.
    • Ability to solve problems at botha strategic and functional level.
    • Must be ableto organize and manage multiple projects andpriorities.
    • Strong interpersonal skills andcommunication skills.
    • Demonstratedcommunication, collaboration, and leadershipskills.
    • Ability to work independently withminimal supervision.
    • Ability to create preciseand articulate presentations, reports, memos, recommendations, andbusiness correspondence.
    • Basic computer skillsto include Microsoft Word andExcel.
    • Professional HR Certification

    KeyDeliverables

    • Serve as business advisor on HRmatters to the site General Manager and Leadershipteam.
    • Lead initiatives for talent development,performance management and employeeengagement.
    • Implement HR strategies andinitiatives aligned with the overall businessstrategy.
    • Evaluates human resources processesand strategies to determine improvements to be made and reportsfindings to top management.
    • Recruit andinterview potential applicants on experience, skills, education andfit to the qualifications of the position and future progressionwithin the organization.
    • Ensure compliance withall federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

    Key Activities& Responsibilities

    • Responsible for developingrelationships with individuals, employee groups and leaders of thebusiness to communicate company policies/programs/procedures whileproviding leadership around organizational change, processconsultation and organizationaldevelopment.
    • Ensures Human Resources Strategiesincluding coaching/counseling employees and management, sourcingand selection, performance management programs, organizationaleffectiveness, compensation and providing Human Resourcesleadership.
    • Oversees the talent acquisitionprocess, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring ofqualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, andprofessional roles; collaborates with departmental managers tounderstand skills and competencies required foropenings.
    • Perform as project leader forcorporate and divisional projects, managing timelines, and workingwith cross-divisional teams.
    • Enforcesmanagement guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommendinghuman resource policies andprocedures.
    • Evaluates trends in compensationand benefits within regional area.
    • Ensure legalcompliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal andstate requirements, conducting investigations, and maintainingrecords.
    • Ensure planning, monitoring, andappraisal of employee work results by training managers to coachand discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee issues;counseling employees and supervisors that drives highperformance.
    • Organizes and manages new employeeorientation, on-boarding and trainingprograms.
    • Produces monthly headcount report andtracks departmental employmentlevels.
    • Initiates and/or tracks and maintainsany changes in associate status such as promotions, salaryincreases, transfers, terminations, changes of address,etc.
    • Routinely spend time on plant floorengaging with employees and managers to understand needs, concerns,manufacturing processes, and opportunities for better employeeengagement.
    • Always follows company policies andprocedures.
    • Act as safety advocate and ensuresafety rules and procedures arefollowed.
    • Performs other duties asassigned.
