Description
The senior QAQC engineer s roleis to define, develop, test, and maintain new or old automated testscripts. QA/QC supports application testing of businessrequirements to guarantee the system quality to prepare for marketreadiness. This includes the use of automated testing framework andwriting custom test scripts for various workflow scenarios. Thesenior test automation engineer will also research, design,document, and modify script specification throughout the productionlifecycle.Youwill mentor junior test engineers, assist with test executionroadmap planning, and support throughout the entire agile processto deliver quality software. Responsibilities
A.Technical
Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, and otherproject documentation to assure product quality and design testcases. This may include both manual and automatedtesting.
Select and implementtest cases on test automation tools, applying latest processese.g., data-driven testing, katalon studio,selenium.
Use risk-driventechniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suitesfor various enterprise-grade products; i.e., perform automateddynamic testing.
Work with thedevelopment team to capture and reuse automated unit test cases,Test stubs and drivers, and other development testobjects.
Read technicalimplementation and evaluate requirements to design automated testscenarios and processes.
Participate in the change control board or project managementoffice to identify the quality implications of known bugs and theimpact of proposed changes to product definition on the testingprocess.
Work with the ReleaseEngineering or DevOps team to create and maintain automated nightlybuild verification ( smoke )test.
Ensure proper versioncontrol and configuration management of all test objects developedand test environments used.
Provide technical guidance to junior-level test engineers and/ortest technicians
Approve systemintegration and deployments through version control managementservices
B.Results Tracking andReporting
Research and document bug reports following established QA/QCprocesses/frameworks, and escalate issues upondiscovery.
Update test executionstatus following agreed-upon processes as part ofregularly-scheduled test statusupdates.
Trace test cases andresults back to specific qualityrisks.
Assist the Test Manager inthe creation of test project status reports and metrics (e.g., TestDashboard).
Document allprocesses and tasks on JIRA or other project managementtools
Collaborate with QAAnalysts and Software Developers to developsolutions.
Requirements
RequiredSkills:Self-starter and critical thinker, takes ownership of own projectsand makes improvement suggestions for the entireinfrastructure;
Minimum 7+ yearsin software development
Minimum5+ years in automation testing
Experience in designing Test Automation Framework that is scalableand reliable
have hands-onexperience with developing SQL scripts to test databases and dataquality testing
Hands onexperience using licensed and open-source test automation toolse.g., Katalon Studio, Selenium, andPostman
Coding experience usingeither Java, C#, or Python
haveload/performance testing for API, backend API and UI testautomation experience.
Understands agile software development and exhibit stronganalytical and problem-solvingskills
Experience with workingwith CI tools (Jenkins/Bamboo) is aplus
