    Description

    Wood is currently recruiting fora PMC Senior Planning Engineer with extensive experience in the oiland gas petrochemical industry.

    • Reporting to the ProjectControls Lead / Project Lead the candidate will assume soleresponsibility for Project Planning and Scheduling / ProjectControls of Engineering and construction Projects
    • Responsible for the development and maintenance of andreporting against detailed project plans
    • Toensure that the overall project is delivered to meet clientsschedule requirements / priorities
    • To ensurethat all work is performed without compromise to quality and inline with the companys procedures
    • To maintainhigh standard of safety at all times
    • Developa suitable Work Breakdown Structure covering the projectrequirements / scope of works
    • Developbaseline update and maintain detailed project schedules for variousphases of project execution including but not limited to designdevelopment (main responsibility) construction precommissioning andstartup
    • Coordinate with clientrepresentatives team members contractors subcontractors whiledeveloping project schedules to take into account all projectrequirements
    • Organise workshops to presentand review project schedules with all the concerned stakeholders totake their buyin before baselining the schedules
    • Develop and agree with the client progress measurementand reporting requirements
    • Review schedulesprepared by the Contractors / Subcontractors (wherever required) toconfirm alignment with the overall master plan
    • Periodically update the schedule with progress attainedduring the period
    • Coordinate with team member/ contractors / subcontractors to prepare schedule forecasts
    • Identify / highlight any emerging issuespertaining to schedule slippages and work with Project Manager /team to develop recovery plans
    • Analyse impactof proposed changes to project scope / requirements and rebaselinethe schedules to incorporate approved changes
    • Prepare weekly fortnightly and monthly progress reports /progress curves and distribute them to the concerned stakeholders
    • Attend progress review meetings with ProjectManager / client / contractors
    • Verifyphysical progress as claimed by contractor / subcontractors
    • Coordinate with the Procurement / SupplyChain Manager regarding procurement status of Long Lead Equipment /Bulks and update the schedules accordingly
    • Provide forecasts for project completion with anticipatedmanhours to facilitate the cost forecasting process
    • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in the oil andgas industry
    • Bachelor degree in engineering
    • Knowledge of engineering procurement andconstruction planning processes planning tools project managementtechniques
    • Knowledge of CTR and progressmeasurement processes
    • Experience of workingwith multinational and multicultural project teams is stronglypreferred
    • Previous experience of working inthe Middle East would be an advantage
