    Description

    Logistics Lead to provide Project team withoverall management and coordination of logistics planning andexecution and to Interface with Operations Logistics, ProductionAffiliate, Drilling, Procurement, and other GeneralServices.

    Responsibilities

    • Leads & Controls allactivities related to MarineOperations.
    • Provide logistics leadership andexpertise to ensure effective planning and execution during allphases
    • Reviews logistics deliverables(Logistics Plans, Transportation Plans, etc.) to ensure meetrequirements
    • Optimizes the usage of contractedfleet movements and personnel
    • Plans themovement of projects' materials to dispatch across theCompany.
    • Efficiently controls the dispatch ofall major project materials and special project materials and formovement across the company, requiring handling large volumes ofextremely high value materials.
    • Directs theshipping and transportation of all material received out to theislands.
    • Controls the efficient shipping ofwaste from the islands to meet with the HSE policies of the Companyand International Standards. Where necessary modifies theprocedures to meet new and unforeseen threats caused by hazardouswaste.
    • Manage and supervise marine fleet andmarine spread capabilities for providing effective technical andfunctional support to projects to meet their marinerequirements.
    • Ensure effective maintenance andregular updating of all marine charts, marine related drawings anddocuments for all vessels.
    • Monitor and managefleet operation of all projects' vessels to ensurecompliance with marine procedures with satisfactory and reliableperformance.
    • Maintain high priority for HSEissues and ensure full implementation of HSE regulations byensuring timely inspections are conducted on vessels / barges underreview, any outstanding issues / points are addressed and rectifiedpromptly and entry permits grantedaccordingly.
    • Review and approvecontractors' preventive maintenance programs anddry-docking schedules for vessels under own scope, visit dry-dockduring refurbishment of vessels and approve the temporaryreplacement of vessels during breakdown or dry-docking, so thatcontinuity of operations is maintained.
    • Ensurefield visits are conducted to check the condition of operatingvessels and their conformity with international and localstandards, regulations and the contractual technicalspecifications. Review and give technical acceptance to jobsperformed by contractors.
    • Ensure regularcontact is maintained with the islands and marine team is alwayskept informed and updated on any planned marine movements in thefields and that meteorological information is dispatched regularlyto islands and vessels.
    • Lead the response toall projects Emergencies for fire-fighting, anti-pollution, searchand rescue operations etc., in fields under project scope andadvise on relevant methods and equipment.
    • Planand manage all marine project activities in coordination withrelevant parties and ensure these activities are conducted as perCompany's standing instructions, good seamanship andapproved procedures.
    • Establish and maintaineffective communications and working relations with all Operations,Projects, on joint marine operations projects and governmentalauthorities such as Coast Guard, Offshore Oilfields SecurityDepartment.
    • Maintain contact with internationalorganizations, Gulf States local regulatory bodies and OPCOs forupdating marine standards and best practices. Participate ininternational and local forums for discussions and presentations ontechnical issues relevant to marine technicaloperations.
    • Lead investigation and analysis ofany offshore marine accidents / incidents in liaison with HSE.Recommend and monitor crew-training, certification and leaverotation control in accordance with MarineStandards.
    • Develop, establish and implementmarine standards (relating to personnel qualifications / materialspecifications / equipment for use in projects) specific to Companyrequirements within controlled operating areas for marine vessels.Monitor compliance of these standards in all marineoperations.
    • Ensure that regular audits areconducted for marine contractors and long-term chartered vesselsfor policing and maintaining marinestandards.
    • Guide, direct, coach, train andmotivate team members (including trainees) to work to their bestpotential and perform effectively together as ateam.
    • Work in line with HSE Policy and ensureawareness and compliance of HSE rules andregulations.
    • Develop, implement and reviewmarine standards for barges / marine spread required forprojects.
    • Ensure timely availability of marinecapability for Search & Rescue operations as well aspersonnel evacuation in case ofemergency.
    • Ensure mandatory usage of PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE), measure safety performance andreinforce safe work practices.
    • Plan, monitorand coordinate training and development of assigned UAE NationalTrainees and ensure they are guided and trainedeffectively.
    • Maintain current knowledge ofcontractor capabilities in appropriatemarkets
    • Oversee EPC contractor vessel sourcing,inspection and mobilization process
    • MonitorsEPC contractor vessel fleet (materials, personnel, modules) andmovements and reports same
    • Coordinates with EPCand Operations logistics team to ensure overlapping activities areminimized
    • Leverage Corporate expertise orspecialists to accomplish logistics objectives and workplans
    • Ensures resources are properly allocatedto special activities (e.g. moduleloadouts)
    • Monitors Contractor camps and ensurescompliance with all requirements w/ inspections,audits
    • Demonstrate safety leadership– Responsible for HSE systemimplementation
