    PositionOverview:

    The EFO MEP ConstructionManager reports directly to the Senior EFO Manager and isresponsible for managing and controlling the delivery ofconstruction activities related to exhibition fit outs and MEPWorks. Ensuring that the execution strategy of the project isadopted as per the current site situation and will be continuouslymonitored as well as ensuring his deep involvement in Contractorssubmittals addressing Construction methodology including MethodStatements Project Quality Plan Project HSE Plan Schedules andcompliance with Projectobjectives.

    General Description ofRole and Responsibilities:

    • Communicate with the Senior EFO Manager continuouslyregarding Project Progress with respect to EFO and MEP areas ofconcerns.
    • Advise EFO Manager of any foreseenslippage of Progress and provide proper guidance to Contractor topropose appropriate corrective actions to mitigatedelays.
    • Review and monitor in timely mannerthe Contractors proposed construction equipment and manpowerhistogram and advise the Senior EFO Manager of anyshortage.
    • Manage the coordination between theEFO and the base built scopes with emphasis on the interfacingsystems (i.e. HVAC).
    • Manage and monitor theperformance of Construction Supervision Consultant and Contractorwith respect to project delivery.
    • Attendingall required meetings. Initiate ad hoc meetings to resolvediscrepancies with all concerning parties.
    • Monitor the site progress at various stages ofconstruction works all throughout the duration of theproject.
    • Review daily weekly and monthlyprogress reported by the Contractor.
    • Monitorthe technical submittals and approval process.
    • Regular visits to Project site for global monitoring ofsite activities in respect of Quality Safety and Progress andadvise the Senior EFO Manager of findings area of concern andrequest Contractor to submit corrective action for review/approval.
    • Log all change requests and inparticular MEP contractual omissions.
    • Critically analyze and report any value engineeringproposals.
    • Ensure Contractor/ ConsultantsCompliance with its Contractual obligations all requiredregulations as well as Contractors deliverables of the projectincluding all required building and civil defensepermits.
    • Establish and maintain specificproject procedures for Construction Supervisionmanagement.
    • Proactive management ofConsultants SubConsultants Contractors and projectparticipants.
    • Evaluation of progress on theConstruction Methodology & Schedules for each package andtaking necessary actions with the relevant parties for deviationsand time slippage.
    • Ensuring the SafetyManagement System is being strictly adhered to.
    • Ensuring that QA/QC procedures and standards are beingimplemented and followed.
    • Review theContractors submitted Monthly Reports.
    • Identify areas of concern and propose for improvement forthe project delivery from PMCsperspective.

    QualificationsExperience Knowledge and Skills:

    • 15 years of total experience.
    • 5Years in the UAE.
    • Bachelors degree inengineering.
    • ProfessionalMembership.
    • Experience on exhibition fit ourprojects or projects of similar complexity.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills tosuccessfully work with Project and Construction Management TeamConsultants SubConsultants and Contractors.
    • The ability to mediate in a conflictsituation.
    • The ability to provide professionalguidance and task management for direct reports.
    • Technical understanding and working knowledge ofEngineering Project Management and Construction.
    • Knowledge of the Authorities having Jurisdiction and theprocesses to be followed during design development and constructionof the Works through to attainment of a Building CompletionCertificate.
    • A problemsolving approach seekingwinwin solutions.
    • Selfdriven to identify andthrust to push bottlenecks and roadblocks wherever they maylie.
    • Experience in complex AVinstallations.
