    Description
    Thisposition will work in collaboration with the healthcare team,patient and family to promote patient health through delivery ofprofessional nursing care appropriate to patients age and conditionas documented in the nursing and medical plans of care inaccordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practicestandards and hospital goals, values and regulatorystandards.

    1. Completesnursing assessment of patient conditions consistent with age andcondition, including physical, psychological, social,developmental, and educational factors, to determine initial levelof compliance with treatment plan per policy and unit guidelines.Performs ongoing patient and family assessments and identifiesvariations fromdiagnoses.
    2. Continuallyevaluates patient responses to care, teaching, and discharge plans.Documents patient progress in appropriate charts and sharesobservations and assessment outcomes with healthcare team andfamilies to ensure timely communication and understanding ofpatient health status, progress, and ongoingneeds.
    3. Contributesto team effort by accomplishing required activities withinestablished parameters to ensure compliance with all applicablemedication, storage and documentation standards, regulations, andrequirements.
    4. Providesorientation to the unit, hospital systems, and processes topatients and family members to ensure familiarity with unit spolicies andrequirements.
    5. Supervisespatient care activities of assigned team members and delegatesactivities appropriate to knowledge, skill, and competency.Provides timely feedback and review of care delivery to ensuremaintenance of patient safety, infection control procedures,therapeutic environment, and team members performance level,maintaining confidentiality asappropriate.
    6. Workscollaboratively with patient care team and family members toestablish and implement plan of care to ensure coordination ofactivities and ongoing communication of patient health status.Participates in patient care rounds and patient care conferences asappropriate.
    7. Performsmiscellaneous job related duties asrequested.


    Requirements

    • Atleast 1 year experience in ED setting (Adults or Peds) to beconsidered.
    • Twoyear (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing,or a Diploma Nursingdegree.
    • CurrentState of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact statewith multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensureaccording to Arizona law prior to startdate.
    • CurrentBLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American HeartAssociation or obtain within within 60 days ofemployment.

    At least 1 year experience. MUST have Prior ED (Adults or Peds)and/or recent ED (Adults or Peds) to be considered.
