    Description
    -Our Client isseeking a Chief Electrical Engineer Come start your career withthis growing company

    JobResponsibilities
    • Establishscope of work for projects and proposals and develop engineeringcost estimates, deliverable lists, schedules, change orderrequests.
    • Developand track project schedules, man-hours, deliverables in conjunctionwith Project Services Group and Project Manager(s).
    • Act asLead for the execution of all electrical deliverables required forthe successful completion of engineering projects. This includesdeliverables pertaining to power supply, Instrumentation &Control, etc.
    • Carry outdetailed design, sizing and calculations.
    • Overseeand check other electrical engineers and designers work includingback-office design.
    • Participatein the preparation of engineering studies such as grounding,protection coordination, arc flash, short circuit, etc. whileutilizing applicable engineering software (e.g., ETAP).
    • Engage inthe preparation of engineering drawings such as single line,layout, schematics, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs,etc.
    • Participatein the preparation of Load Lists and perform electrical equipmentsizing.
    • Ensurecompliance with Canadian/US electrical codes and standards,relevant industry standards and regulations.
    • Review,check and approval of all engineering deliverables produced by theE&I discipline including P.Eng. Stamping of electricaldeliverables where required.
    • Leadproject(s) and act as the main point of contact with the Client andother external stakeholders for the electrical aspect of a project.Maintain continuous contact with clients to ensure theirsatisfaction.
    • Participatein the Technical and Commercial aspects of procurement forelectrical equipment such as Switch-gear, MCC s, VFDs, etc,including the preparation of electrical equipment specifications,data sheets and purchasing requisitions.
    • Responsiblefor preparation of technical and training documents.
    • Reviewvendor designs for compliance with technical specifications.
    • Professionalsealing of technical drawings and documents.
    • Performwitness testing as needed at the vendorsfacility.
    • Monitorand update electrical man-hours and schedule progress on assignedprojects.
    • Attendproject team meetings, client meetings, vendor reviewmeetings.
    • Providementorship to Junior and Intermediate Engineers/Designers.
    Requirements
    • Bachelorof Engineeringgraduate.
    • RegisteredProfessionalEngineer.
    • Experiencein the mining or mineral processing sectorpreferred.
    • ObtainP. Eng. Certification in other jurisdictions, if required (i.e.Newfoundland andLabrador)
    • Self-starterwho works well independently and on ateam.
    • Advanced proficiency with MSOffice tools.
    • Ability to use and oversee 3Dbaseddesign.
