    EstimatingManager

    CompanyOverview:Our client has anexciting opportunity for an EstimatingManagerwith successfuland progressive experienceinoversight of theEstimating Department, including assisting with the selection ofbid opportunities, setting up the estimate in conformance withcurrent costs, ensuring that the work is bid properly, and ensuringthat management s corporate goals are reflected in the output ofthe EstimatingDepartment.

    PositionSummary:Thesuccessful candidate shallhaveaminimum of 10 years of complex highway, piling, bridge, and marineconstruction experience, A minimum of 8 years in a supervisoryestimating position working on projects valued more than $100million and A minimum of 3 years of design/build experience withlarge public heavy/civilprojects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage,direct, and monitor the efforts of the Estimating staffdaily.
    • Participatein the bid research process and the review of upcoming projects todetermine compatibility with corporategoals
    • Managethe overall bid and/or proposal process for multiple concurrentprojects
    • Activelyparticipate in estimatepreparation
    • Ensurethat estimates are completed in a timely manner and in accordancewith the specifications, our current procedures and ready forreview by seniormanagement

    Requirements

    • In-depthknowledge of HCSS is a prerequisite foremployment
    • Bachelors degree in civil engineering or construction-relatedfield
    • Excellentcomputerskills
    • Experiencewith computerized takeoff and/or designprograms
    • Abilityto lead in a fast-paced, challenging environment as an integralpart of ateam
