    Description

    This position performs a variety of technical tasks in the collection, processing and issuance of motor vehicle, vessel and mobile home registration and titles. Work is performed with a wide latitude of judgment in accordance with statutes, laws, policies, procedures and ordinances under the general supervision of a department Manager and upper-level administrative officials.

      Provides direct assistance to dealers in person, by mail, or over the telephone in similarly related transactions.

      Processes applications for Florida and out-of-state tag, title, registration transfers/renewals, personalized plates and stolen/lost plates for cars, trucks, tractors, trailers, motorcycles, motor homes and mobile homes which may require the entry of data through EFS or OATA Processing department for completeness.

      Works with upper management when department Manager is unavailable for escalated issues and questions.

      Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.

    Performs all other duties as required and assigned by supervisor.

    Requirements

    1. Associates of Arts or Science degree from an accredited college or university
    2. 1 or more years of applied, progressive customer service experience
    3. Experience in an automotive dealership, auto auction, DMV/MVA and/or Tax Collectors office.
    4. Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm
    5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with internal staff, the general public, vendors, customers, and clients in order to communicate information in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner
    6. Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of administrative and operational matters and work with limited supervision on routine and non-routine office support tasks
    7. Ability to apply business mathematics skills to make calculations
    8. Effective listening skills and strong attention to detail
