    Description

    • Plans and preparesDrilling and/or Work over programmes and testing procedures forassigned wells in accordance with the well objectives, technicalrequirements and engineering standards. Works closely with theReservoir Development teams in prognosis creation andoptimisation.
    • Ensures the equipment andservices are available and prepared for planned wells to bedrilled.
    • Monitors and analyses the workprogress during drilling, well completions and work overs. Providenecessary instructions, advice and measures to be taken by theDrilling Supervisor to resolve problems and avoid delays in workschedule and to ensure that the requirements and the wellobjectives are achieved.
    • Monitors wellexecution and delivery performance against agreed KPIs and businessplan. Provides analysis and understanding of differences, and makesrecommendation to address them.
    • Acts as afocal point between Rig-site and Main office for all operationaland field based issues. Maintains good communication with DrillingSupervisor to ensure delivery of excellence in HSE and programmeexecution.
    • Supervises the moving of rigsschedule on and off well locations. Includes liaising withcontractor to ensure maximum safety and accurate positioning of rigon new location.
    • Prepares Final Well Reportsand ensure AAR (After Action Review) are completed for eachwell.
    • Check budget and Drilling & Workover Schedule and ensures that enough funds area available for thecompletion of each well.
    • Verifies wellexpenditure proposals and monitors variance from plans. Providesbudget estimates for specific drilling operations as required andraises them to supervisor for review andapproval.
    • Prepares studies and reviews whichwill assist in solving current operational problems, improvescurrent operational procedures and delivers excellence inperformance delivery
    • Participates in designingand/or confirming designs and specifications of drilling andassociated equipment.
