    Description
    AccountingSpecialist

    Thesuccessful candidate shall have a minimum of 46 years of finance oraccounting experience.

    The Accounting Specialist is responsible forproviding financial administrative and clerical services in orderto ensure effective efficient and accurate financial andadministrative operations.

    Must comply with established policiesand procedures. Work involves attention to detail and working undergeneralsupervision.


    KeyResponsibilities:
    Working with both payables and receivablesdepartments.

    Taxes:
    payroll sales quarterly 401Ketc.

    Bank reconciliations invoicing revenue assist in month end closingsand internal & externalaudits.
    Journal entries job costs sub ledger entries. Balance all GL andjob costaccounts.

    Participate in the monthly closing process including preparation ofworkinprocess monthly reporting templates analysis of certainexpense/accrual accounts and preparation of portions of theconsolidation reporting package and external financial statementsatyearend.

    Preparation and analysis of certain monthly project level and jointventure financialstatements.

    Analysis of financial information to help evaluate past and futurefinancial performance via analysis of variances of current to priorperiods budgets andforecasts.

    Analysis of income statement balance sheet and cash flowactivity.
    Communicate with all levels of management to gather analyze andsummarize financialinformation.
    Participate in process/systemsenhancements.
    Work with the external auditors in the completion of the yearendaudit.
    Assist CFO with due diligence efforts for evaluation of allpotentialacquisitions.
    Assist Corporate Controller with certain tax compliance effortsincluding personal property sales fuel and corporate level excisetaxes.
    Participate in certain special projects including financialresearch and modeling involving equipment management and ERP systemimplementation.


    KeyQualifications:
    Construction or related industry experience preferred (particularlyWIP schedules on longertermprojects).
    Experience with QuickBooks and ZohoBooks
    Public/private accounting experiencepreferred.
    BS in Accounting CPA/MBA aplus.
    Strong understanding of financial accounting principles includingstrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and FASB Accounting StandardsCodifications.
    Basic understanding of federal and state corporate income/sales taxprinciples.
    Proficiencywith all information systems including Microsoft office tools (highdegree of Excel expertise) general ledger and consolidationprocesses (Vista f/k/a Viewpoint)Sage.
    Must know Microsoft Office currently running Windows 10. Use a 10key adding machine and other basic officemachines.
