There arespecific focal points in the academic cycle when all ProfessionalServices team members will be expected to contribute regardless oftheir primary role for example Welcome or Graduation. In additionthe duties listed below are illustrative of the general nature andlevel of responsibility of this post which is likely to change overtime in response to the needs of the Campus and as you develop yourexperience and skills. You will have the opportunity to develop andmay also need to specialise your duties further over time inagreement with your manager.

    Role Summary

    The role of Marketing andCommunications Assistant is a key part of the Business Developmentand Engagement areas remit. This area is responsible for sales andmarketing business development external engagement communicationsbrand and reputation and admissions for the Dubai campus. The teamplay a critical role in the future success of the Universitydelivering against student recruitment and other income targetsbuilding key stakeholder relationships in the region and takingresponsibility for the overall brand and reputation of theUniversitys only campus outside of the UK. It is a dynamic teamthat works closely with colleagues from across campus and inpartnership with teams based in the UK. Team colleagues also haveclose connections to external partners in the UAE and other keyrecruitment markets (including China and India).

    Main Duties

    • Support the Marketing andCommunications Officer with the delivery of marketing plans for theDubai campus to meet student recruitment targets.
    • Provide general daytoday administrativesupport in relation to marketing activity.
    • Maintain accurate budgets and records ofmarketing spend including raising purchase order requisitions andkeeping the budget tracker up to date.
    • Managerelationships with our student ambassadors as part of ourAmbassador programme
    • With the Marketing andCommunications Officer produce high quality social media contentidentifying trends and opportunities across all social channels
    • Support with developing and delivering thecontent strategy for all University channels.
    • Utilise Adobe and Canva for basic videoediting and design when needed
    • To undertake arange of other duties as directed by the Marketing andCommunications Manager

    Required Knowledge SkillsQualifications Experience

    • Understands the importanceof equality and diversity in the workplace
    • Educated to A level or equivalentqualification or relevant work experience evidencing the skills andability to undertake the role.
    • Experience ofworking in a marketing environment
    • A provenhigh standard of written and oral communication and confidence ofdealing with projects at all levels
    • Goodcopywriting skills particularly for social channels
    • Experience of understanding and interpretingdata including Google Analytics and proficiency using Excel
    • Competency with Adobe and Canva for basicvideo editing and design
    • Experience ofproviding support for complex internal and external events
    • Ability to work with initiative under pressureand manage multiple workloads simultaneously
    • Experience of liaising with a wide range ofstakeholders including senior managers
    • Welldeveloped administrative andorganisational skills with a proven ability to pay attention todetail
    • Experience of working with social mediain a professional context
    • Excellentinterpersonal skills and a cando attitude
    • Creative and innovative approach toproblemsolving
    • Competent in the use ofdatabase systems (for example CRM) and electronic communication
    • Flexibility to work out of hours as required
    • Experience of administering budgets financialtransactions and familiarity with foreign payments
