- The Desktop support administratorshall provide technical assistance and support on computer hardwareand Network to ensure smooth IT operations. Constantly monitor thefunctioning of all IT products and facilitate calibration ofrequired IT products, to ensure smooth IToperations.
- Provide support to users includes:installation, configuration, upgrade, troubleshooting; providefirst-level maintenance of needed IT hardware, Network, and desktopsoftware applications; provide onsite support in setting uprecovery provisions to enable effective IT support to endusers.
- Provide effective incident and problemresolution using highly automated tools such as remote access,online support, and knowledge base systems to enable effective ITsupport to end users.
- Perform troubleshootingto system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long termefficiency of network.
- Inspect LANinfrastructure and fix minor or majorproblems/bugs.
- Test and configure software andmaintain and repair hardware and peripheraldevices.
- Assist in implementing businesscontinuity and disaster recovery plans for the concerned systems,to ensure smooth operations
- Carry out hardwareinstallation, including shelves, power strips, rails, cablemanagement and user equipment and perform remote hand services forusers to enable effective IT support to endusers.
- Implement system security protocolincluding password management, data security and discrete workingpractices where there is access to confidential information toadhere to company's ITPolices.
- Monitor and support Microsoftserver's platform, i.e. e-mail server, core switches,wireless controllers & wireless network, cache server, andnetwork storages, to ensure security and long-term solutions forongoing IT issues.
- Ensure that all OperationalProcedures are strictly adhered to, in accordance with the setstandards, to ensure compliance with company's ITpolicy.
- Install network printers, configurescanners and copier on the network, format computers, and installoperating systems and other application on all staffs'PCs, to ensure the smooth operation of computers in thecompany.
- Perform network address assignment,configuration, and authorization of directory services routingtables and routing protocols to always ensure smooth functioning ofIT Networks.
- Bachelors degree or Diploma inComputer/Information Science
- 5+ years relevantexperience is required
- CCNA qualifications arestrongly preferred.
- Certified in - ITIL v3Foundation, MCSA
