    Description
    • Develop and deliver courses tostudents in the specified discipline areas of study, consideringand aiming to achieve the three (3) fundamental universitystandards: Teaching, Research, andServices.
    • Evaluate and monitor individualstudent progress and provide feedback to sustain studentsuccess.
    • Conduct high-quality research inhis/her own field and publish research outcomes in reputablejournals and conferences.
    • Pursuing research inrelevant clinical and biomedical sciences and/or pedagogy, organizeand manage instructional resources, course outlines, and communitynetworks.
    • Supporting and expanding curriculardevelopment in family medicine in consonance with other basicmedical science subjects and linking to clinicalsciences.
    • Actively seek out methods,procedures, and resources to best achieve courseobjectives.
    • Support and participate inaccreditation initiatives.
    • Maintainrelationships with students that are conducive tolearning.
    • Perform miscellaneous job-relatedduties as assigned.

    JobRequirements:

    • Basic medical degree(MBBS/MD).
    • Earned Ph.D. Degree or a terminalclinical qualification (exit degree) in Family Medicine from anaccredited institution or licensingbody.
    • Board-certified in general/specializedFamily Medicine and eligible for registration and licencing as aclinical practitioner in the UAE.
    • Displaysevidence of ability to teach in one or more of the following areas:family medicine, geriatric medicine, community medicine,occupational medicine, palliative and pain medicine,etc.
    • Previous experience teaching in anintegrated systems-based curriculum.
    • Previousinvolvement in Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Team-Based Learning(TBL) educational processes (i.e., development, tutor-guidepreparation, facilitation, assessment) will be highlydesirable.
    • The candidate must be able tocommunicate in English.
    • Advanced use oftechnology in the education process (delivering classes viapresentations, using e-learning systems, reports,etc.).
