    Description:

    Ourclient is a multidisciplinary wetland and natural resourceconsulting firm who is currently looking for anEnvironmental/Wetland Scientist tojoin their team in the Chantilly, VAarea This candidate would perform wetlanddelineations using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 1987 WetlandDelineation Manual and Regional Supplements under the supervisionof mid-to- senior level staff. Other responsibilities include, butare not limited to:

    • Assistin conducting forest stand delineations and tree assessments inurban settings.
    • Perform Chesapeake Bay Area andthreatened and endangered species studies under the supervision ofmid to senior level staff.
    • Assist in monitoringof stream and wetland mitigation banks.
    • Preparetechnical reports and maps in CAD.
    • Responsiblefor managing multiple projects, including maintaining budget andschedule restraints and ensure quality standards on all projectdeliverables.

    Skills &Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree inEnvironmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Botany, or relateddiscipline
    • 2-5+ years of related environmentalconsulting/management experience
    • Workingknowledge of field techniques for wetland delineations, plantidentification, soil sampling and threatened and endangered speciesstudies
    • Experience in recording/writingdetailed technical reports
    • Experience with CADor GIS software preferred
