    Description

    CustomerService

    • Ensures the delivery of brandpromise and provides exceptional guest service at alltimes.
    • Provides excellentservice to internal customers in other departments asappropriate.
    • Handles allguest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteousand efficient manner, following through to make sure problems areresolvedsatisfactorily.
    • Maintainspositive guest and colleague interactions with good workingrelationships.
    • Establishesa rapport with guests maintaining good customerrelationships.

    Operational

    • Ensuresthat minimum brand standards have beenimplemented.
    • Ensures thatall Touches of Hyatt and the Food and Beverage Top 20 areimplemented.
    • Responds tothe results of the Consumer Audit and ensures that the relevantchanges areimplemented.
    • Ensures thatFood and Beverage team members work in a supportive and flexiblemanner with other departments, in a spirit of "We workthroughTeams".
    • Assistsin conducting monthly inventory checks on all operating equipmentand supplies.
    • Have athorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage itemsin the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beveragecombinations and upsellalternatives.
    • Ensures thatthe restaurant is kept clean and organized, both at the front aswell as the back ofhouse.
    • Assist to liaisewith the Kitchen and Beverage Department on daily operations andquality control ifappropriate.
    • Performs thefunction of cashier and responsible for Micros cashieringprocedure.
    • Makes necessarychecks needed for specific events orfunctions.
    • Be a hands-onsupervisor and be present at all times in the Restaurant,especially during busyperiods.
    • Assists withconducting monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment andsupplies.
    • Assists toliaise and organize with Housekeeping Department that the cleaningschedules are strictly adhered to.

    Personnel

    • Overseesthe punctuality and appearance of all Food and Beverage associate,making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a highstandard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hoteland department's groomingstandards.
    • Maximizes theeffectiveness of associates by developing each of their skills andabilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/ormentoring.
    • Encouragesassociate to be creative and innovative, challenging andrecognizing them for their contribution to the success of theoperation.
    • Supports theimplementation of The People Philosophy, demonstrating andreinforcing Hyatt's Values and CultureCharacteristics.
    • Ensuresthat all associate have a complete understanding of and adhere toemployee rules andregulations.
    • Ensures thatassociates follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies andregulations relating to fire and hazard safety, andsecurity.
    • Supports theaction plans as a result of the Employee EngagementSurvey.

    OtherDuties

    • Attends and contributes to alltraining sessions and meetings asrequired.
    • Exercisesresponsible behavior at all times and positively representing thehotel team and HyattInternational.
    • Maintainsstrong, professional relationship with the relevant representativesfrom competitor hotels, business partners and otherorganizations.
    • Reads thehotel's Associate Handbook and have an understanding of andadhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and inparticular, the policies and procedures relating to computerresources, fire, hygiene, health andsafety.
    • Ensures highstandards of personal presentation andgrooming.
    • Responds tochanges in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by theindustry, company andhotel.
    • To be flexible inyour job function and perform any other reasonable duties andresponsibilities which may be assigned to you, includingredeployment to other departments/areas if required, in order tomeet business demands and guest serviceneeds.
