    Description

    Anindustry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a SeniorFire Protection Engineer for their Petersburg, Floridateam

    Responsibilities:

    • Performanalysis, design and documentation of fire suppression, fire alarmand smoke controlsystems
    • Supervisestaff
    • Developstrategies, alternative solutions/design approaches
    • Conductbuilding/fire code studies and life safetyevaluations
    • Preparedesign deliverables for SD, DD, CD leveldocuments
    • Duringbid phase, meet with contractors to review designdetails
    • Assistwith construction administrative duties to aid in businessdevelopment (RFI response/accurate review ofsubmittals)
    • Ensure projectsmeet QA/QCstandards
    • Attendproject meeting (clients, local jurisdiction, otherdisciplines)

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree in engineering from and ABET-accreditedprogram
    • NICETlevel certification in fire suppression and/or fire alarm systemsin lieu ofdegree
    • 8+years of Fire Protection Design experience as aconsultant
    • FPEor PELicense
    • Expert-levelknowledge of local/national building codes, life safety and irecode requirements (ICC/NFPA codes, IBC and NFPA101)
    • Knowledgeof standard construction practices
    • Experienceworking with contractors and addressing constructionissues
    • Proficientin fire protection design/modeling software (Revit, HAAS, FDS,CONTAM,Pathfinder)
    • Experiencedesigning fire alarm systems for a variety of project types
