    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide leadership across the postproduction processes to ensure all tasks are executed on time and correctly.

    ○ Plan, organize, and run optimum day to day packhouse operations.

    ○ Responsible for the supply of customer orders on time and in full.

    ○ Adherence to packing quality, gold standards and customer specifications.

    ○ Ensure appropriate manpower planning is in place to ensure sufficient staffing is scheduled for daily tasks.

    ○ Ensure the day of operations tasks reflect the output needs for our customers.

    ○ Packaging and labeling as per customer requirements.

    ○ Always ensure the correct execution of all packing and delivery standard operating procedures (SOP's) and policies.

    ○ Maintain accurate training records through inhouse matrix and retraining is in place.

    ○ Accurate tracking of quantity and quality of produce.

    ○ Ensure accurate tracking of product data.

    ○ Track performance across key processes.

    ○ Proper cleaning and sanitization of all packing areas, equipment, and vehicles.

    ○ Coordinate and maintain communication and engagement with colleagues and team members to ensure best practices and appropriate quality of work is followed daily.

    ○ Manage projects to increase production efficiencies and area optimization.

    Qualifications/Requirements:


    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing


    • Strong working knowledge of food production is preferred. Experience with fresh vegetables is a benefit.


    • Willing and able to perform a wide variety of hands-on tasks when needed.


    • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders.


    • Ability to work well under minimal supervision with willingness to take direction as needed.


    • Strong written & verbal communication skills, in English; Must be able to read, write, understand, and converse well in English.


    • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to hit the ground running.


    • Familiarity with basic software: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google suite, or other software platforms.


    • Experience and understanding of quality, food and hazard safety certifications and compliance including GAP, SQF HACCP, etc. is preferred


    • Warehousing and manufacturing experience is a plus


    • Having pride in your work, a passion for what you do and a positive attitude while taking on difficult tasks is a plus
