    Description
    About our client:

    My client is an American multinational food manufacturing company headquartered in United States.

    Role Description:

    • To support Financial Controller for ensuring a strong financial control environment through the development of financial processes, monitoring compliance along with leading the US GAAP reporting and tax requirements

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the timely preparation of accounting bookings by using technical accounting skills for some entities in the organization on monthly basis
    • Control the accounting bookings performed by global business services (GBS) teams for some entities in the organization
    • Support customer credit limit analysis to evaluate customer payment terms and limits on annual basis
    • Responsible for timely issuance of the statutory annual financial statements and other financial reporting obligation for entities
    • Liaison with external auditors to provide the required information to finalize the external audit process
    • Responsible for quarter-end/year-end management representative letter (MRL) submissions with strict deadlines by coordinating with all business units
    • Support the regional controlling team on their queries for management representative letter (MRL) submissions
    • Prepare tax data packages, transfer pricing operational data and coordinate VAT returns /withholding tax submissions for some entities in the organization
    • Keep track of the changes in statutory regulations that can impact the tax and accounting matters.
    • Ensure that the entities are in corporate compliance with all statutory requirements
    • Maintain all financial control documentation in line with Client requirements
    • Assist the business unit (BU) team with accounting related issues and identify financial transactions and events not in accordance with GAAP.
    • Coordinate the financial committee meetings with business units (BU) to discuss and support the teams on the ongoing matters and report to Regional Controlling team
    • Liaison with cross-functional teams (commercial finance, legal, tax, marketing, procurement, HR, etc.) to support in the financial processes
    • Coordinating with regional, global controlling and tax team on business unit matters

    Requirements:

    • Experience in finance with R2R (record-to-report) experience
    • FMCG experience in a multinational environment, will work with different teams in different time zones
    • SAP experience is a must.

    • BU Finance, Regional Controlling, Regional Tax, Corporate Controlling, Legal, GBS, Internal Controls, HR, Supply Chain, Logistics, Internal Audit, IT

    Key Metrics :

    • 10 entities located in 7 different countries, 6 different time zones
    • 10 external audit reports for GCC, Rest of Africa, Kenya, Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey annually
    • 670 Accounts Reconciliation for GCC, Pakistan, North Africa, Rest of Africa, Egypt and Turkey
