    Description
    • Category strategy and ownership:Work closely with Category Leadership and account managers onplanning and business strategy, drive best-in-class customerexperience and maximize Selling partners selection and sales growththrough timely analysis and initiatives.
    • Maintain category's on-going reviews:own category's weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews viaestablishing a tracking mechanisms to enable team track theirprogress while recommend best track of action togrow/recover
    • Define category's growthopportunities: Identify key business opportunities of yourcategories via spotting popular brands, trends, and pricing toensure managing the sellers toward a growth plan; deployingdetailed deep dives and data analysis
    • Sellermanagement: Identify and lead Selling partners partnerships, managelarge Sellers and enhance overall Seller experience with betterself-service and reporting resources.
    • Technicalproject management: Automate and scale the category level growthvia new selection, product listing quality and in-stockopportunities. Partner with other teams to drive automation andscalability across theorganization.
    • Category/3P project management:Work within the marketplace org to establish and execute a 3P levelprojects/programs.

    The SuccessfulCategory Manager Must Be Able To

    • Act as the 'businessowner' for his/her categories, possessing a completeunderstanding of internal and external variables that impact ourbusiness (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring,understanding and reporting on the category, along withresponsibility for driving strategic projects to achieve businessobjectives)
    • Maximize Amazon'slong-term business profitability
    • Have acomplete understanding of the customer needs, both existing andpotential, and use that knowledge to deliver site features thatprovide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shoppingexperience
    • Create business plans andinitiatives for new opportunities and develop and execute projectplans for the launch of new features
    • Coordinatecross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and externalstakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines for high visibilityprojects
    • Conduct financial analysis of businessopportunities to meet and exceed revenues targets.

    BasicQualifications

    Bachelor'sdegree in Business Administration, Science, Technology,Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field

    • 8+ years of professional experienceinfluencing internal and externalstakeholders
    • A strong background in category orproduct management, along with related businessexperience.
    • Well-versed in Excel andSQL
    • Outstanding analytical and problem-solvingskills. Demonstrated ability to interpret large amounts of data andmake sound business judgments andrecommendations
    • Superior verbal and writtencommunication skills. Ability to write succinct and compellingwritten business proposals and recommendations for senioraudiences
    • Proven track record collaboratingsuccessfully with internal and externalpartners
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment and to deal with ambiguousproblems
    • Ability to think both strategicallyand tactically with strong attention todetail
    • Operates as a team player and has apositive attitude
