    Description
    • Advisory Sessions: Arrange,schedule and conduct advising sessions for students, providingguidance on degree programs, minors, course selection andregistration.
    • Knowledge Management: Develop acomprehensive understanding of the department, academic programs,student support services and departmental processes related toacademic advising.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Stayinformed about curricular changes, policies, regulations andprocedures relevant to advising andregistration.
    • Coordination: Collaborate withthe academic advisor, Head of Department (HoD), faculty, and otherstakeholders to address advising and registration-relatedissues.
    • Degree Audits: Conduct degree auditsfor graduating students and those approachinggraduation.
    • Record Keeping: Perform data entryand maintain accurate records of advising and registrationactivities.
    • Data Analytics: Utilize dataanalytics to assist in scheduling for upcoming semesters andyears.
    • Backup Support: Provide backup supportfor the primary advisor, handling walk-ins, incoming calls andemails.
    • Digital Transformation: Contribute tothe digitization of academic advisingservices.
    • Student Monitoring: Monitor studentprogress and ensure compliance with program requirements forgraduation.
    • At-Risk Student Support: Identifyand monitor at-risk students, providing appropriate support andresources.
    • Collaborate: with academicdepartments and industry partners to identify and developinternship opportunities.
    • Design and implement:strategies to expand and enhance the internship program, stayingcurrent with industry trends and employerneeds.
    • Tailor internship offerings to alignwith the evolving demands of the jobmarket.
    • Advise and guide students inidentifying and pursuing internship opportunities that align withtheir career aspirations.
    • Conduct workshops andinformational sessions to educate students on the benefits ofinternships and provide guidance on the applicationprocess.
    • Foster relationships with students toensure ongoing support throughout the internshipexperience.
    • Cultivate and maintainrelationships with a diverse range of employers to create a robustnetwork of internshipopportunities.
    • Collaborate with employers tounderstand their needs and expectations for internshipplacements.
    • Work closely with the AUS CareerServices team to coordinate career fairs, networking events, andemployer engagement activities.
    • Manage theinternship placement process, including matching students withsuitable opportunities.
    • Oversee the developmentand updating of internship agreements, learning objectives, andevaluation mechanisms.
    • Monitor and assess thesuccess of the internship program through feedback and performanceevaluations.
