This role is for anexperienced event planner to plan, manage, and execute meetings,events, and conferences for NAM&SS.
Coordinate with internal staffand vendors to establish eventrequirements
Plan and facilitate logistics toinclude contract negotiations, attendee lists, lodging,transportation, venue preparation, presentation materials,security, catering, entertainment, equipment, dcor,marketing
Locate resources, conduct sitevisits, and lead pre-event meetings to help staff make decisionsabout all activities related to the event, meeting, orconference
Create, distribute, and respond torequests for quotes (RFQ) and contract forvenues.
Schedule and coordinate resources formeetings and events hosted at companylocations
Manage cost containment, equipmentlogistics, venue/room setup
Serve as a liaisonto staff and vendors throughout the planning and executionprocess
Establish, document, organize, andarchive procedures and processes forevents
Build and maintain a comprehensivedatabase of industry contacts, vendors, venues, RFQs, historicalinformation such as quantities, meals,etc.
Manage issues as they arise before,during, and after events
Comply with legal,insurance, health, and safety regulations and policies at alltimes
This person will report to the NAM&SS Business Operations Director and MUST be located in acommutable area to SchaumburgIllinois
SpecificKnowledge/Skills:
Bachelors Degree Is REQUIRED
Ability towork collaboratively with support, program, regional and territoryorganizations.
Proven success in managingevent planning and coordination and ensuring projects progressaccording to a committed schedule andbudget
Leadership skills and ability toeffectively delegate and hold resourcesaccountable
Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills
Experience in buildingand maintaining positive businessrelationships
Excellent communication (oral,written and presentation), interpersonal, organizational,problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time managementskills
Excellent negotiationskills.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, and travelup and down stairs, crouch, stoop, andreach
Ability to travel up to30%
Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
