    Description

    What You Will Do In YourRole

    • Continuously drivesafety as a core value for the business.
    • Drivesafety excellence through promoting employee involvement,ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards andimplement the appropriate mitigating strategies based on the riskinvolved
    • Provide safety training to teammembers
    • Fully utilize Work Process to developjob plans, track work completion and promote preventive andpredictive maintenance
    • Ensure all departmentsoperate effectively and efficiently
    • Facilitateteam development and growth, and review and manageperformance
    • Build employee commitment andownership, and hold employeesaccountable
    • Identify contributions and missedopportunities
    • Monitor the quality of work andprovide direction to team members to maximizeefficiency
    • Assist with troubleshooting andsolving production issues
    • Complete data entryand generate reports

    Contacts/Interfaces:Interact with key operations personnel such as thePlant Manager, Supervisors, Reliability Manager, Human ResourcesManager, Safety Manager, Environmental Manager, maintenancepersonnel and employees at all levels of the siteorganization.

    The Experience You WillBring

    Requirements:

    • Three (3) or more years of experiencein an industrial, manufacturing or militaryenvironment
    • Two (2) or more years ofsupervisory or management experience in an industrial,manufacturing or militaryenvironment
    • Experience in leading a departmentin EH&S, Reliability, Production Cost and QualityExcellence
    • Must have working knowledge andexperience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to learnvarious PC-based production and operationsapplications
    • Must be able and willing to work aflexible work schedule
    • Must be able and willingto work in an industrial manufacturing plant including extendedperiods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheatedareas
    • Must be able and willing to work safely,and promote safe work practices
    • Must haveexperience in employee performance management and change managementas it relates to furthering our MBM basedculture

    WhatWill Put You Ahead

    • Bachelor's Degree or higherin Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or a similardiscipline AND three (3) years of supervisory or managementexperience in wood products environment -OR- Associate'sDegree in a technical field AND five (5) or more of supervisory ormanagement experience in a wood productsenvironment
    • Experience working withcomputerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) - SAP, MP2,ActivPlant
