Job Summary

Ensure timely processing accounting and payments of supplierinvoices incentive and refunds. Carry out processing andreconciliation of Sales/Revenue Recognition/Interline transactionsand nonairline partner billings by providing assurance oncompleteness and accuracy through internal control and review.Identify discrepancies through audit raise under collectionsinvestigate movements in balances and ensure accuratereconciliations with minimal exceptions and adjustment needs.Analyse and report flight revenue yields ensure all functionalunits are aligned with the Quality Management System update systemrelated masters accurately and on timely basis. Compile monitor andfollow up on the accounting and control reports from theoutstations and validate contents through appropriateanalysis.

JobAccountabilities

Reviewprocesses analyse high risk areas handle quality checks and ensureadequate maintenance of prevention and detection controls to ensurecompleteness timelines of processing accounting billing andaccuracy of computation and settlement.
Resolve disputes queries discrepancies with internal andexternal stakeholders.
Identify areas andensure active involvement in projects system enhancements testingand process changes and thereby acquire in depth knowledge andenhance business processes.
Check theintegrity of interfaces and completeness of data generated by thesystem. Provide support on key processes and deliverables in theabsence of Finance Officer and assist the FinanceOfficer/Controller in month closing reviews by investigatingmovements in balances to ensure quality/accuracy of reporting andto ensure that month/year end adjustments are kept to theminimum.
Provide data analytical support forManagement Information Systems (MIS) KPI and RevenueAssurance.

Interline& Revenue Recognition

Ensure the revenue processing and accounting is completedas per the timelines for reporting and overall revenue recognitionfor the month.
Manually prorate complexcoupons which have been rejected by the Revenue Accounting systemin order to process in a timely and accurate manner and clearprorate exceptions for Emirates and other airline documents so thatthe fare collected can be allocated to each coupon of the documentand sales liabilities on own document sales and revenue from OWN& other airlines uplifts can be established andaccounted.
Complete the processing andaccounting of interline invoices sales commissions discountsrejection values and other related accounts to ensure that theinward billing control account has a justifiable outstandingbalance.
Process interline Prime invoices(including Flight Interruption Manifest billing) and recharges inaccordance with Prorate Manual and Special Prorate Agreement withthe help of proration modules in Revenue Accounting. Accept and orreject for the overbilled or billed values as per the norms of IATAResolutions and or Revenue Accounting Manual includingcorrespondence with Other Airlines on Interline BillingDisputes.

Bachelor sDegree Preferably in Finance

Experience

Finance & Insurance. Accounts
5 years relevant experience
Additional Finance qualification preferable

Knowledge/skills

Accounting knowledge preferably from an airlinebackground.
High level of computer literacyand good knowledge of office automation software like Word Excel MSAccess and PowerPoint
Good analytical andinvestigative skills
Ability to communicateeffectively both orally and in writing with various stakeholdersacross the business.
Ability to functionindependently within an established framework.

Specific to teamsin:

Knowledge of fares ticketing proration andinterline rules/ agreements (preferable with IATA qualificationand/or cargo knowledge). Working knowledge of Global DistributionSystems (GDS)
