    Description

    Responsibilities

    Accountablefor the successful delivery of all materials and logisticsactivities that they are responsible for, including but not limitedto:-

    • Establish, manage andmaintain the warehousing / materials control operation at thedesignated warehouse / work site / clientfacility
    • Coordinate the efficient operation ofand continuously monitor the efficiency and performance of thewarehouse operations, including the utilisation oflabour
    • Management of the allocation, control,issue and marshalling of materials between different work locationsand supplier and the coordination of carriers in accordance withproject requirements and schedule / vesselsailings
    • Production of shipping documents forall materials movements
    • Timely updating ofprocurement system with goods receipts / manifests / shippingdocumentation
    • Warehouse materials handling e.g.OS&D checks, bagging and tagging, preparation for shippingand marshalling / loading ofshipments
    • Management of Freight Forwarding andImport / Export and Customs controlactivities
    • Identification and management ofmaterials shortages and surplus
    • Control ofInventory in accordance with required inventory regime e.g. FIFO /Kanban and ensuring accuracy thereof by monitoring of warehouseactivity, cycle counts and stockchecks
    • Requisitioning and control of smallplant and equipment / tooling /consumables
    • Production of Materials Statusreporting to project and client
    • Coordinatingmaterial supply to and performance / delivery of fabricationitems
    • Ensuring maintenance and preservation ofmaterials is undertaken for storedequipment
    • Attending Project Progress Meetings /Purchase Order Pre-Production Meetings
    • Liaisonwith all Project personnel, client representatives, and supplierswhere appropriate to resolve materials supplyissues
    • Ensures all Supply Chain activities arecarried out in accordance with the project execution plan /schedule and / or contracting strategy, within approved budgets andin line with project processes andprocedures
    • Update the project / procurementstatus report (PSR) in line with project / client required on sitedates and current / estimate lead and delivery times, notifying anydelays to supply chain management
    • Carry out allactivity in accordance with the Wood Supply Chain Code of Conduct,ensure that all statutory and legal requirements and applicableprocesses and procedures are complied with and all documents arefiled accurately and fully auditable
    • Promotesafe working practices and demonstrate safetycommitment
    • All other tasks as reasonablyrequested by line management

    Qualifications

    • Qualified to ISCED Level 4 / 5(post-secondary non-tertiary / short-cycletertiary)
    • Good solid level of experience inmaterials / logistics demonstrating results and progression to asimilar management position
    • Varied and detailedwork experience in the industry which would allow understanding ofand exposure to key Inventory, material control and logisticsconcepts and principles
    • Previous use of ERPssuch as Maximo, Oracle, SAP
    • Competent in theuse of the Microsoft Office suite oftools
    • Supply Chain principles andtechniques
    • Good interpersonal skills, logicalthinker
    • Planning and organisationalskills
    • Methodical in the processing of workactivities / actions
    • Adaptability and problemsolving skills
    • Co-ordinate activities andprioritise workload of self and others
    • Workunder pressure to meet deadlines
    • Workindependently to meet project / roleobjectives
