    • Lead the effectiveimplementation of Procurement Department policies procedures andcontrols covering all areas of assigned department activity so thatall relevant procedural/legislative requirements fulfilled whiledelivering a quality costeffectiveservice.

    • Lead the identification ofopportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability ofsystems processes and practices considering global standardsproductivity improvement and costreduction.

    JobSpecific Responsibilities

    ProcurementSupport

    • Follow the proceduresestablished by the procurement section managing suitable preciseprocedures for logging procurement information onto the system tomaintain a high level of quality ensuring accuracy of recording andfiling.
    • Build robust partnerships and businessrelationships with current and potential suppliers and serviceproviders to ensure that obtains the best combination of benefitand cost.
    • Review and identify variances ordeviations in contract performance reporting nonconformities to theprocurement section to take corrective action minimizing allpossible disparities.
    • Maintain the documentsfiles and contracts in the Document Control office under safecustody without any damage or deterioration with easytraceability.
    • Ensure that procurement needsrequirements and relevant product specifications from the involveddepartments are properly captured.
    • Assist inconducting frequent evaluations of the vendors prices reliabilityadherence to the contractual agreements and undertake necessaryactions.
    • Confirm registered and prequalifiedsuppliers are evaluated and assessed to meet internal performancetargets and criteria.
    • Supervise the continuousreview of pending orders that have met or overrun their originaldelivery date to expedite delivery while keeping procurementsection informed.
    • Prepare and review purchasingfiles reports and price lists comparing prices specifications anddelivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliersmaintaining a database of all relevantdata.
    • Check shipments upon arrival to ensurethat orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet thedesired specifications and are in good conditions accepting orreturning the order accordingly.
    • Reviewrequisition orders to verify accuracy terminology andspecifications.
    • Gather purchasing requirementsfrom other functions ensuring clarity and proper documentationdetermining if inventory quantities are sufficient for needsordering more materials whennecessary.
    • Calculate costs of orders and chargeor forward invoices to appropriateaccounts.
    • Analyse vendor performance based onthe inputs of contract and achievement of the contract obligationsto identify the most suitable vendors for any potential workinvolvement in the future.

    AwarenessSupport

    • Preserve awareness of marketdevelopments in purchasing techniques product technology and supplymarket activity to stay up to date identifying and exploitingcommercial opportunities.
    • Maintain knowledge ofall organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases andprovide information about these rules to the procurement team andto vendors to stay informed and up to date regarding any changesthat might occur.
    • Contribute to the effectiveresolution of complex purchasing problems with an appreciation ofthe costeffectiveness of solutions.
    • Liaise withthe Legal function to ensure that all purchasing related processesand documents are in line with the applicable legal framework tobest protect interests.

    Qualificationsand Experience

    • Bachelors degree in BusinessAdministration Finance Legal or any other relatedfield.
    • 8 years of relevant experience in SupplyChain with focus onProcurement.
