    Requirements

    Nursingdegree

    Significantpost-qualification nursing experience, preferably in one or more ofthe following areas: infectious diseases, intensive care,nutrition, paediatrics, operating theatre oranaesthesia

    ValidNursing Boardregistration

    Five yearsof proven professionalexperience

    Experiencein supervising, managing and trainingothers

    Availablefor a minimum of ninemonths

    Willingnessto work in unstableareas

    Adaptableand able to work in a multiculturalteam

    Flexibleand able to managestress



    Requirements

    DESIREDEXPERIENCE: 1 year post graduate qualification experience beforeplacement in a specialisedunit

    KEYRESPONSIBILITYAREAS

    Deliverquality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professionalteam

    Identify,prevent and manage risks to ensure patientsafety

    Facilitate apositive patient experience by creating a conduciveenvironment

    Provideaccurate and comprehensive records of all nursinginterventions

    Create alearning environment that builds staffcompetence

    Ensure thatall utilised stock and equipment are accuratelycharged

    andatoryKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and OtherQualifications:

    Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of familymedicine; knowledge of the statutes, regulations, guidelines, andother requirements governing the provision of health care in theState of NewMexico.

    Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills and the ability to handlesensitive and confidential situations anddocumentation.

    Solidanalytical, critical thinking and problem-solvingskills.

    Ability tomaintain and build trust; protect and preserve confidentialinformation along with high attention todetail.

    Able toprioritize effectively and meet strict deadlines while managingmultiple, competing tasks in a fast-pacedorganization.

    Strong teamplayer able to form functional work relationship with peers andsuperiors. Ability to perform other duties asassigned.

    Knowledgeof Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; designsoftware; internet software; and electronic database employeerecordssystems.

    Basicoperation of a workstation (turning on/off, knowledge of basicfunctions andcomponents).

    Use/storage/maintenance of multiple usernames andpasswords.

    Use ofWindows Explorer (electronicfile-handling).

    Computer-related problem-solving skills through the use ofavailable trainings and helpdesk.

    Regular andpredictable punctuality and attendance are a requirement of thisposition.
