    Description

    What will I bedoing?

    An AssistantGC&E Manager, you will assist in meeting and banquetefforts to maximise revenue, profit, and the satisfaction of Guestsand vendor relations. The Assistant GC&E Manager willdevelop the Team through the coordination of an onboarding plan andcontinued development efforts to ensure that the Groups. Conferenceand Events and related Teams are fully prepared to offer anexceptional conference and event experience. Specifically, anAssistant GC&E Manager will perform the following tasks tothe highest standards:

    • Assist the Groups. Conference andEvents Manager to maximise conference and banqueting revenue andprofit through pro-active selling techniques, calendar/timemanagement, and pricing strategy
    • Ensure thehighest standards of conference and banqueting businessprocesses
    • Implement an effective sellingstrategy and ensure this strategy is understood and executed by allTeam Members
    • Ensure fairness in vendorselection and with vendor pricing, such that non-contractedcustomers receive the same rates (quotes) regardless of the chosenbooking channel used
    • Ensure company/departmentspecific induction/onboarding plan for Revenue/Conference andEvents/ Reservations Managers is identified, executed, and incoordination with the relevant Human Resource Manager and RegionalDirector of Revenue
    • Maintain consistentcommunication with the Training and Development department toensure Teams at all levels are trained and developed through theuse of structured training calendars andprograms
    • Maintain strong internal control ofthe working environment, such that it is always in complianceHilton and the Hotel brand's policies andprocedures
    • Ensure communication meetings occurand are accompanied by documentation/minutes on a monthlybasis
    • Manage staff performance in compliancewith company policies and procedures
    • Recruit,manage, train and develop the Conference and Events Team
