    Description
    • Drive sales from the assignedbrand/category by developing comprehensive businessplans
    • Studies trends from historical dataaround brand/category sales and market research to assist in theoverall planning process
    • Ensures categoryprofitability KPIs are clearly set andachieved.
    • Manages consumer mapping, and isresponsible for brand/category consumer segmentation anddifferentiation.
    • Ensures optimum utilization ofcustomer research information to guide brand/category managementdecisions, including decisions on the introduction of new products,product assortment, promotion and pricing of products in thestore
    • Collaborates with Retail operations tounderstand consumer trends, sales figures, etc. to furtherformulate the business plan for thebrand/category
    • Ensures access to marketintelligence through various sources on competition pricing andbusiness and analysis of trends which may impact the BusinessUnit
    • Ensures proper assortment mix and share ofOwn Brands within category
    • Monitors andanalyses business performance by brand/category sales, sell-out,gross margin and turnover and translates insights into key sellingpoints, or category opportunities
    • Manages andtracks brand/category sales planning and forecastingprocesses
    • Ensures effective 'inseason' management for the given brand/category ofproducts (stock balancing, markdown management, stock analysis,stock vs sales performance).
    • Leads and overseesthe buying requirements and formulates buying plan and budget forthe brand/category and ensures proper monitoring of orders based onthe buying plan and follow-ups on merchandise delivery as per theplan
    • Manages the relationship and liaises withprincipals/supplies on matters relating to price negotiations,product launches, marketing campaigns, forthcoming offerings andevents
    • Coordinates regular meetings with AreaManagers/Store Managers to share insights arising from marketdynamics and brand/categoryperformance
    • Collaborates with the visualmerchandising function to provide brand/category guidelines andimplementations of the same in all retailoutlets
    • Collaborates with the retail marketingfunction, to ensure maximum visibility of their category throughretail marketing
    • Analyses sales related datafor products within the brand/category portfolio and providesinsights into enhancing potential salesopportunities
    • Works with the Human Resourcedepartment to coordinate training related to products and customerservice, to ensure personnel knowledge of key product features andbenefits across the stores

    Requirements-

    • Bachelor'sdegree in business, marketing, or a related field. Amaster's degree is a plus.
    • 5 years ofproven experience in category management preferably in theHealthcare industry. Good Experience handling end-to-end liaisonwith Brands across all levels.
    • Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability tointerpret data and make strategicdecisions.
    • Excellent negotiation andrelationship-building skills to effectively collaborate withsuppliers and internal stakeholders.
    • Provenexperience in category management or related roles, with a trackrecord of driving sales growth andprofitability.
    • Knowledge of market researchtechniques and familiarity with market researchtools.
    • Strong project management skills, withthe ability to prioritize and meetdeadlines.
    • Excellent communication andpresentation skills to effectively communicate category strategiesand plans to stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in usingdata analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, toanalyze and interpret sales data.
    • Knowledge ofretail and consumer behavior trends, including e-commerce anddigital marketing.
