    Business Development Manager MiddleEast

    The Team

    The BusinessDevelopment Manager is a managerial role within the Marketing& Business Development( MBD ) function and the Middle Eastregion of Norton Rose Fulbright. The post holder will proactivelywork with the Dubai partners and with global and regional MBD teamsto implement strategically aligned and valueadded initiativesensuring key global regional and office objectives are achieved.The daytoday operations range from and business planning and clientdevelopment to winning work and raising the profile of ourbusiness. The BD Manager will be required to develop a strongunderstanding of the legal market our brand and proposition withinthe market and our growth ambitions and strategy. The role is basedin Dubai and reports to Senior BD Manager based in Dubai with thesupport of a Business Development Executive. They will work inclose cooperation with the Head of the Middle East the localpartners and the global marketing and business developmentteams.

    TheRole

    • Businessplanning
    • Work with Team Leaders to develop andimplement annual business plans budget proposals and campaign plansfor the region
    • Oversee the BD activity ofrelevant practices to ensure regional objectives are met. Thisincludes but is not limited to pitch management event ideation andexecution marketing and communications and clientdevelopment
    • Seek opportunities to drivecrossoffice and regional collaboration to increase efficiencies andspeed to market
    • Winningwork
    • Project manage transactional and strategicbids provide input on approach team formations; draft review andedit content; manage document development where necessary; ensureadherence to branding requirements; ensure adherence to pricingprocedures
    • Ensure follow up is sought fromclient following a pitch; track and act on actions which arise;assess how feedback can be used to drive behaviouralchange
    • Monitor panel appointments and driverealisation of opportunitiespresented
    • Profileraising
    • Work with the communications team andPR to develop our profile in the Middle East through profileraising campaigns and supporting marketing activities collateraland press
    • Systematically measure performance indirectories and league tables; agree target rankings with theMiddle East partners; facilitate contribution to directories andleague tables using consistent positioning messages; report onchanges in rankings and against targets set; refine approach asneeded
    • Developing managingand running key client events (seminars roundtables) and otherclientfacing activities and attending events wherenecessary
    • Ensure the Middle East region isbrand compliant and adopts our visual identity to deliverconsistent materials to market
    • Ensure allcommunications channels are up to date and convey consistentmessaging and capability presentation (including but not limited toweb collateral bids experience statements directories league tablesCVs)
    • Clientdevelopment
    • Drive the engagement of the regionin our key client programme
    • Support partners onspecific key clients and conduct research and analysis on keyclients in order to identify newopportunities
    • Facilitate participation in ourclient feedback programme; track and act on actions arising frominterviews and assess how feedback can be used to drive behaviouralchange
    • Bestpractice
    • Adhere to and/or develop best practiceto improve efficiency and transparency to feeearners
    • Effectively utilise and promote use ofour New Castle hub for support on operationaltasks
    • Encourage regional adherence toprocedures and best practice with Norton Rose Fulbright systemsincluding InterAction and ExperienceManagement

    Skills And ExperienceRequired

    • Undergraduate degree or abovein marketing law or business relateddiscipline
    • Experience working in a legal and/orprofessional services environment
    • Excellentproject management skills this candidate must be able todemonstrate experience of managing multiple projects andtransforming commercial issues into business developmentopportunities
    • Possess high level ofconscientiousness demonstrated through leadership qualities and theability to build a strong reputation within the business anddeliver excellent service
    • Excellent attentionto detail
    • Experience of working with clientsand ability to be clientfacing
