    We are aPharmaceutical company & we requires experienced Cashiersfor our various Store Support customer service at point of salewhile ensuring a world-class shopping Record customer transactionson the Dis-Chem operating system according to company policies& standard operating procedures, with zero tolerance towardinaccuracies & elimination of fraudrisk

    Essential

    A minimum of 2 years experience cashier/till operationsexperience

    Computer literate MSOffice

    Soundnumericalskills

    Strong command of the Englishlanguage

    Basic customerservice

    Willing and able to work retailhours

    JobDescription

    Adhere to Dis-Chems customer service policies andprocedures

    Establish a professional relationship withcustomers

    Report customer complaints and compliments to the FrontlineSupervisor, or storemanagement

    Adhere to the customer turnover hourlyrate

    Beaware of current sales andpromotions

    Ensure colleagues and customers are not exposed to anyrisk

    Carryout and manage Dis-Chem 5 star communicationprinciples

    Be responsible for cashflow

    Ensureall line voids and price changes are approved and signed off by thesupervisor

    Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returned goods bycustomers when authorised to doso

    Transactall purchases receive and process all payments (cash, bank cards,vouchers, coupons, other forms of payments) accepted byDis-Chem

    Process all loyalty cards including those of our acceleratorpartners (Discovery Health Care, Medihelp Lifestage, MomentumMultiply, Legacy Lifestyle, ABSA Rewards andeBucks)

    Ensure cash is placed in drop safe according to Dis-ChemsSOPs

    Ensureusage of your code and password is restricted to only you; is safe,and is changedregularly

    Ensure all outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned and paidfor

    Ensurethat all money is strictly kept safely and securely inside thetill

    Handledaily takings confidentially, and only discuss withmanagement

    Be alert, recognise and report suspicious behaviour tomanagement

    Address queries regarding storemerchandise

    Adhere to Dis-Chems security policies andprocedures



    Requirements

    Competencies:

    In-depth knowledge of operating cash registers, and maintainingcash drawers

    Knowledge of processing sales, refunds andpayments

    Strong command of English (written andoral)
